Pack full of styrofoam

So I bought 2 boxes of HHN yesterday. One was pretty decent with the hot refractors (including soto) and a red auto of Freddit Patek. Other one didn't really have anything of note outside of a pack that contained nothing but styrofoam. Really big QA mess up, especially considering there's no styrofoam used in the product and it had to be cut small enough to fit exactly into a sealed pack. I took video since it was clear that there was only styrofoam in the pack by touch. Anyone ever encounter this? Not like it's a huge scandal but I wish there was a way for Topps to make up for this. Doubt they'd do anything.

Yes. It felt like there was just styrofoam in it and nothing else. That's why I took the video. LCS owner has never seen this happen in 13 years of owning his shop.

Hopefully it came out ok. Haven't looked at it yet and only had one shot. I know it came partially out of frame while i tried to adjust to open with one hand before getting someone else to hold onto the phone.

Replaced an entire pack. Didn't get everything I should get based on odds.

Good god. Topps will send a replacement of two cardboard pieces and if you're lucky a Brien Taylor 2nd year card.

Man that is crazy weird, makes me wonder if that pack was supposed to have a huge hit in it of some kind that was missed during packing. I saw a youtube video some time ago showing some conveyor belt type machines filling and sealing packs in one of the major card factories. Perhaps the foam is inserted as a dummy and is supposed to be swapped out by hand with a heavy hit of some kind that is to heavy to go through the machine and was missed by quality control. Either way it will be interesting to see what Topps does with this one.

Those must be dividers that split up there groups of cards that are fed into the collating machines. Curious to see what Topps will do about it.

A few years back, someone at my LCS opened an immaculate or NT (forgot which one) and there was no pack/little box inside. I have seen a pack opened with a screw in it. Anything can happen.

That stinks. Who knows what was "supposed" to be in there. I'm guessing its just a total quality control mishap like someone said, its something used to divide cards during pack-out and it somehow made its way INTO an actual pack.

I would obviously contact Topps, but they're not going to give you any huge hit or anything, maybe another box of HHN at the very most, or at the very least an auto hit or some unopened packs?
