Which streaming service do you use for TV?

I’m currently at $40/mo with Youtube TV. I tried the free trials of most of the others. I ultimately chose Youtube TV because I could link it with my iTunes account and pay through it, as well as it carries the 4 major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX). Most have 1 of the big 4 missing.

I don’t have Hulu but saw an ad for their Live TV package and it looks really good and they offer all 4 big networks + you get the Hulu streaming library all for $40/mo too. I’m seriously considering a switch. Anyone use this service?

Curious what everyone has and how they like it.

We use Playstation Vue. Works great. No issue.

I have an HD receiver and pay nothing for the big four channels. I have a Hulu account and Netflix account and use a Roku. There are a lot of free channels (local news, etc.) on there and I also have Amazon Prime.

DirecTV now and it isn't very good. Laggy and not user friendly. Youtube isn't in our area yet but I'll switch when it is

Firestick TVTap for network channels, Kodi, FreeFlixHQ, I do have Netflix account though.

I had nothing but issues with them too. I joined during the Apple TV promotion and was having so many issues they refunded me everything and let me keep the Apple TV, so that was the only positive from it.

Hulu With Live TV. $40 a month. We have never not found what we want to watch. All local networks, cnn, espn, all the sports as well. Cancelling my time warner account was a day that was up there with my kids being born.

I have a friend who has Hulu with Live TV and he loves it. I am pretty much leaning towards it, or something similar. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they offer NFL Network and Red Zone. That's the only reason I keep my satellite for that and Angels games. I have been a dish subscriber for like the past 12 years, and my bill increases every month.

I've had DirectvNow since day 1 and the service is 1000 times better than before. I rarely had issues with the service and for $40 a month it's great.

Glad to hear they improved. Admittedly I did join during the beginning stages so I’m sure it was a big part of it.

I had a beef with Hulu for the longest time cus they charged MORE for no commercials... and I’m like, what do they do better than Netflix to justify paying more when Netflix has no commercials and is cheaper?

I am on XFinity. I don't love cable, but satellite sucks in our area and It is simple. We have the highest speed internet package bundled with every channel they offer including HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, etc. I call every time the contract comes up and get one of the introductory rates so our bill is "only" $190 a month.

When the Disney streaming service goes live I think that will be the end of my Netflix subscription.

Beside that, I have Amazon Prime video (and music).

Cut the cord years ago. I have an AppleTV and use it for videos on my network plus:

Netflix - $10.99
Crave (Canada - HBO/Showtime) - $7.99
CBCTV (Canada) - Free
CBC News (Canada) - Free
CityTV (Canada) - Free
Amazon Prime - Part of my overall Prime Sub

More TV than i can ever watch. My internet is $69.99 so i'm under my $100/month entertainment threshold. When the Disney streaming service comes i'll probably drop Crave which i rarely watch anyways and sub to that.

first time ive heard of the disney service. i’ll have to check that out when it goes live. if i understand the article correctly, Netflix won’t be able to show any disney content after this year??

Yup, and in theory, Disney's service should have Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars...

Ya, Not theory. They’ve started production on two live action Star Wars shows plus a final season on clone wars. They’ve got production going on a Loki show and a scarlet witch show in production for marvel. There’s going to be 500 movies to start and something like 7000 disney tv episodes.

I should have specified... they need the existing movie library and I'm not sure what long term licenses they have signed such as Star Wars to TNT...

Turner has the broadcast rights to the pre 2016(i believe) star wars movies until 2024. Any new stuff is Disney's to broadcast. Apparently Turner was playing hard ball about selling back the rights and Disney walked out of negotiations saying it won't hurt their service anyways.
