Default AAF and XFL

Haven’t seen anything posted on these two leagues starting up over the next few years. Sounds like both leagues are funded for at least 5 years by league owners. The AAF just had their QB draft https://aaf.com/results-the-alliance...terback-draft/ Anyone think either league will last or possibly become a minor league of the NFL? Any collectability in either?

Also check my COMC. Even if you don't use COMC I can have cards shipped.

The AAF actually starts in spring 2019 if I remember correctly, and XFL in 2020

It's a literal who's who of washed up NFLers, exciting!

Mock all you want, but I wanted Murray to succeed more than AJ McCarron

this was a QB only draft, really surprised jared lorenzen did not go #1 overall ....

he could have been converted to nose tackle

Everyone has to remember this is the first year. I think you will start to see more college stars who don’t make nfl teams. So your favorite college guy could end up in one of these leagues. Would you not watch it then?

Christian Hackenberg was the 15th QB selected.

would be more likely to watch that than this. maybe they should have waited until the april draft and gone after some UDFA's instead of guys who already have proven they cannot make it in the NFL

That is the plan next year as this will start after this nfl season. The NFL did the same thing when it started up.

I think if a spring league is going to have any chance to succeed at all, they absolutely need to offer an accessible standard fantasy game on sites such as Yahoo and CBS... and promote the heck out of it.

But, of course, they won’t.....

i'd watch if they let defenders play defense. nfl is pretty much college football now.

I can’t stand yahoo but will use it but think cbs fantasy is the worst. They definitely need fantasy

Yeah apparently the San Diego Fleet is trying to sign one of my favorite college players ever, Donnell Pumphrey. I always figured he would have a tough time making it in the NFL anyway so it'd be fun to watch him playing here again.

So it was just a draft where everyone took 4 quarterbacks?

Zach Mettenberger haunted my Bowman/Topps Chrome breaks in 2014, I'm still sitting on them and waiting. He couldn't even go in the first three rounds of this thing, so I'm beginning to get the feeling that I might not recoup my investment.

It was a protect draft. They could get rights to 4 QBs that played college or nfl within their region. I believe this was solely for name recognition.

As a WMU fan, if there are a few players that weren't good enough to stick around in the NFL and get playing in this league. I would tune in to catch them and pick up their cards.

Josh Johnson - Drafted #1 overall and is in the AAF for all of about 27 seconds before going to the Redskins. Shows how important these leagues actually are.

And now we have another league entering the mix. Who's ready for the FFL?

What's next? The FML?

These “investors” should just get together and start a CFL expansion franchise in the Maritimes. At least they’d have a decent chance to draw an audience.
