How rare are the optic preview in 18-19 Contenders?

Notice the Optic Contenders symbol in the bottom left corner. Are these case hits? Or rarer than that?

The number of them on eBay and the fact that there are gold versions out of 10 leads me to believe that they are not incredibly rare like the 2016-17 optic preview

Coming back to clear a few things up. This is wrong. There are no golds. They are rare. The checklist is 100 cards. They're 1 per case. Similar to Galactic in Revolution, but smaller checklist.

Here they are side by side. The differences are very subtle. The picture is different, and the product logo in the bottom left on the front of the card is different. The back has different numbering and says PREVIEW. Those are the differences. Most people think they're just the regular Premium Edition Season Ticket parallel, but hopefully that clears it up.

Thanks for the info. I could tell they're rare by how few have popped up of the guys I'm looking for. I have seen 4 total copies of this one. Won it for around $26 dlvd last week.

You are right.

At first I didn’t realize the difference between these and the regular chrome card.

But I would assume a print run of somewhere near the 8-15 range, based on how many copies I’ve seen of the guys I follow.

I've been picking them up here and there. I dig the big PREVIEW on the back. Can't imagine there's more than 20 of these.

I pulled a Holiday in a break a month or so ago. Breaker had no idea. I had to ask him to go back and check.

Dusting this one off for a second. Ripped a box at my LCS that had been sitting on the shelf for a couple months and believe I hit the Lebron from this set. The only signifiers are “Preview” written on the back and a different logo on the front, correct?

There are not gold versions of the Optic Previews. There are only gold versions of the Contenders Premiums. The Premiums look similar to the Previews, but have a different logo.

The Previews are case hits and are probably 10-15 copies total.

My assumption is that these were previews for Contenders "Premium" which were basically just chrome refractor versions of base Contenders, but they also had Gold Prizm parallels /10. Like these...

Contenders Optic is a stand alone product that started 2 years ago in football but has not happened in basketball....yet.

Probably wont happen this year, maybe next year.

It's an ok product in football. I still like regular Optic better.
