BNC Shill Bidding on his own Cards? Lebron 2003 Exquisite Limited Logos #23/75

I created a thread yesterday on a Lebron 2003 Exquiste Limited Logos #23/75 Jersey # that sold on ebay for $150K and the sale looked suspicious because the seller had only two feedback score (seller created his ebay account on Jan 15th 2019). Thanks to BODA (BO users cal27 and ultimatederon), it was found out the sale was not legit and that the card belongs to BNC.

Here is the interesting part. Look at the two bids placed by an ebay user who appears to be BNC. If this is true, then BNC may have had a role in the $250K sale of Lebron 2003 Exquiste/99, i.e., fake sale or artificially inflating the price.

EDIT: BODA found out that the Limited Logo #23/75 might belong to boogielabs based on his Instagram photos and that BNC might be consignor for boogielabs.

Here is another twist, boogielabs was also one of the bidder on the Limited Logos! So are the consignor and consignee both shill bidding?

This would confirm that fifthdownsports and the "seller" who confirmed for exoticprince are all full of shyt. Many of us called it from the start. Great work, seriously and thank you for posting this.

If I saw that someone is using a stock photo of my card and selling it on ebay, I would contact ebay and report that seller instead of bidding on it. Makes me wonder if the seller and BNC are somehow connected. Looks really shady!!!

There were some BO members who were still supporting BNC after the "Lebron Exquisite Altered/Trimmed" thread was created. They were saying that BNC is a great guy to deal with and he may not have a role in trimming or perhaps was not aware that the cards were trimmed when he purchased them raw. Hopefully, the shill bidding incident should stop those people trying to post here defending BNC!

This is called fraud. With the amount of money involved, someone needs to get ahold of the state attorney general office where it was sold, or the federal prosecutor.
I am tired of consignors manipulating the collectable market thru shill bidding. The basic laws of supply, demand, and pricing are essential to any market.
Ebay should also be held liable to some extent l, as they are ultimately the auction service allowing shilling and cancelled sales....and they have all the IP and MAC addresses to know what is happening and stop it.

^^^ that's essentially what happened with the MJ market and the market of specific parallel cards to a lesser extent about seven years ago, except the people involved weren't faced with law enforcement.

Not a bad idea to keep a track of what he is buying to see if the card grades change. Also gives us an idea of what to expect in the future, i.e., which player cards he will be pumping in the future

BTW, people are still pretty dead-set on this narrative of him altering cards. While I think there were a number of things that were handled incorrectly in that whole saga, I don't think he was ever actually altering cards.

I thought about it too but the chances of two ebay users having the exact 3882 reviews is very rare and given the fact that card belongs to BNC makes him the most likely suspect (bidder) imo. If he is capable of doing this (shill bidding), I would not be surprised if he was involved in trimming (directly or indirectly). I would have given him the benefit of doubt on trimming but not anymore after I found out about this shill bidding incident.

The thing is these kind of people don’t stop their behavior until something is done about it. Until they are arrested. Its like every episode of American Greed. This is the best evidence we can possibly get. Ebay does not disclose bidders/buyers ebay user ID due to privacy issues. The only way to give BNC benefit of doubt is to find another user (other than BNC) with the exact 3882 feedback score. Good luck with that.

Thanks. It is unlikely the seller with feedback score of 2 is BNC with a new ebay username based on the items sold in the past but we might never know. It is interesting to see that the seller had his ebay user name "DAD IS THE BOSS, right mom?" on his sold listing photos but NOT on the Lebron listing photo!
