Default Kyler Murray chooses FOOTBALL

The nightmare is over. Kyler Murray says he's fully committed to becoming an NFL quarterback

Unless he gets drafted in the second or third round.. then he'll change back to baseball.

Good for him. Wish him the best at the draft

Hope he blows up the combine, and then the Jets 3rd overall pick looks a lot better for trade bait.

Fingers crossed.

Poor decision on not taking the guaranteed money from baseball IMO. But good for him, it was his choice. If he gets crushed by someone just as fast and 3x his size, maybe a poor choice, but it was still his to make. Good luck to him.

Are there 600 lb. football players?

Well, he doesn't weigh 200lbs, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

And this kid weighed over 400 in high school, as a running back, so yes there definitely could be 600 lb. football players.

Please point in the direction of players that are 3x his size that ran just as fast. We will all wait forever for you to find nothing

Well, since they haven't ran the 40s at the combine this year, I cannot provide evidence yet, good sir haha.

However, the point I was getting at was if he gets his by someone the likes of Clowney at roughly 275lbs running a 4.5 40, he will regret his decision when he is getting wheeled off on a stretcher. I supposed 3x was an overstatement, what I meant was 1.57x his size (approximating Clowney at 275lbs and Murray 175lbs)

This is how I feel as a Raiders fan. It sure makes the first 4 picks pretty valuable if he lights up the combine

Although with my luck the Raiders take him at 4 and screw up the whole draft

Thank you for correcting yourself.

I'm sure he's been hit by guys larger than him before. Any QB at anytime can get crushed and wheeled off. See Alex Smith this year and others year after year after year.

No problem

And yes I agree, a normal tackle can take anyone out at any time (see Bo Jackson), I just don't think he will be able to take many hits. But then again maybe he will, and I'm wrong. It has happened once before, so anything is possible.

That would require both of their late 1st round picks. There is zero reason they should do that to draft this kid. He is tiny and from his interviews doesn’t seem to bright.

If the Raiders trade this picks it should be to bring in a guy like AB who can be a viable weapon for Carr

All that said what said will probably be what they do and they will blow another draft

Feels like he made this decision with a team guaranteeing him he will be a first rounder. Just my internal feeling

I didn't think that anyone could touch quarterbacks any more???? Or is that just for Brady?????????

It must just be for Brady. I recall one game I was watching that Baker took a hit to the head and after a discussion the ref (who happened to be the son of a former long time NFL official) said he was, "allowed to be hit in the head."

If he is picked in the 1st round, he will make more than baseball, so this seems like a dumb comment to make.

He hasn't been picked in the first round. Some scouts have him in the 1st round, some have him top 3 rounds. He definitely went in the 1st round in baseball, though.

Baseball money is guaranteed. QBs get hit, and he's not very big, he could get hurt and lose quite a bit of money.

Baseball players get paid more.

His guaranteed money if he is a first round pick will be much more then what he got to play baseball. Now if he becomes an elite baseball player yes he will probably make more money over a career but in terms of guaranteed money now he will make more being drafted in the first round of the NFL

He’s going #1. Don’t @ me.

Seriously though I can absolutely see Kingsbury taking him first and they dump Rosen

Would the Giants rather have Haskins or Rosen? Jacksonville?

There would be a market for Rosen.

Oh and FWIW I wouldn’t touch Murray with the #1 pick... but I see it happening after the combine.
