Default Official 2019 Spring Training "Hype" Thread

Instead of multiple threads hyping guys at ST, let's have one thread to hype your guys all you want. The basketball boards has one, and it's been great!

Miguel Sano down 25 pounds, and Byron Buxton adding 20 pounds of muscle should have Twins fans salivating...

Let's gooooooo. Counting down the days.

Whitley and Luzardo, they get all my hype. Hopefully both in their respective rotations by May!

Also, watch out for Corbin Burnes. I think he will turn a lot of heads this year around the league.

Another successful ST for Keston Hiura would be nice.

Tebow is in spring training, trying to make the Mets roster. Would love to see him on a Bowman Chrome card soon, Topps! - The guy is undeniably a great human being, whether you like him or hate.

Scott Kingery put on some muscle getting ready to battle for the Phillies 3B spot. This is going to be a great season for him!

I'm excited to get out to a Halos game to see Trout and Jo Adell roam the outfield together.

But then Maikel Franco will lead ST in home runs for the 3rd time in 5 years and get the starting nod but again, won't play up to expectations as Kingery gets the short end of the stick, again

I said this in the other "Breakout Players in 2019 thread" but Corbin Burnes is one of my picks. I picked him up in my NL only keeper fantasy league, so I'm pretty bullish on him in more ways than one.

Also I really think Sean Newcomb will take a big step this year. He was nearly an all star last year, then had a terrible July - September but pitched well again in the playoffs. I think he'll finally put it all together this year.

I also think Dansby will finally get his act together now that he's (apparently) no longer injured. He's a hobby superstar in the making if he can be great for ATL as a local boy playing for the hometown team with those sweet locks.

Swanson will have to hit a whole lot more to become a hobby superstar on that team IMO
especially batting at the bottom of the order on a team with Acuna Albies and Freddie.

Just my prediction for his season. He was rushed to the majors last year. With less pressure on him and getting time to clear his head this offseason I believe he’ll have a very solid season

Kingery fires the first shot over the bow in ST!- triple and scored on a throwing error by young Adames.

Basically all his home runs last year were him falling forward and using all forearms and wrist to float the ball out. If he has built a stronger base underneath him and worked on his plate awareness he's gonna have much more success.
