Default Anyone see Mike Trout allow an inside the park HR today?

Completely misplayed the ball then kicks the ball when chasing after it. Pretty funny stuff.

Price Drop!! Lol

Joking aside... Maybe it's just Spring training and he isn't taking it seriously since he know he is 10000% chance of making the team

Joking aside, 10000% doesn't exist...even to overachievers.

The joyless scorer ruled it a double and a 2-base error.

Instead of calling it a double and 2-base error, we need a rule change to officially deem it a 'Little League home run'

An infielder has to chuck it into the outfield for those. Maybe even twice!

Put up a field goal in the 3rd. He may stick around after all.

Well, he has a .9937 fielding percentage in his time in the majors. Right now that puts him ties for 13 with Aaron Hicks of all time out fielders.

People above him that’s still playing?
Jon Jay
Jacoby Ellsbury
Michael Brantley
AJ Polluck
Billy Hamilton

So being tied for 13 with I say at least 10 more years playing isn’t too shabby. It is at least well above average.

He didn't misplayed the ball, he was running around looking for the same money Harper, Machado and Arenado got paid.

Fielding percentage means almost nothing to determine how good a fielder a player is. Advanced statistics say that Trout is average to a below average fielder with a very weak arm.

Yes. For instance Fangraphs suggests Mookie Betts has nearly 3X the fielding value of Mike Trout.

2018 statistics for CF (Trout): https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.as...ter=&players=0

2018 statistics for RF (Betts): https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.as...ter=&players=0

Trout has been between -4.5 and +6 most seasons. So somewhere about average.

Betts has been consistently +11 to +14 post 2nd season, normally leading his position.
