2019 Pete Alonso Thread

I think he deserves one. He will be the Mets' answer to Yankees' Aaron Judge. For the record, I'm a HUGE Aaron Judge fan. Having said that the way Alonso has been hitting during spring training and the first 2 games so far, he seems pretty legit to me.

Couldn’t wait and sold 2 of my 3 BC autos for around $150 each last week. I paid $5 a pop for them and felt it was time to take the easy money. Still have another one in case he pulls a bellinger

Still thinking this dude is CJ Cron and sold my card $155. Then again I was wrong on Judge too.

I'm thinking he is more Marcell Ozuna offensively... but even then, as a NY player does that justify $150 base autos? Probably not.

I also was dead wrong on Judge. Thought he was Mark Reynolds at best.

This kid is exciting to watch. Alonso seems like a really good kid as well just based on how he is interacting with Dom Smith who happens to be his main competition for his position. I actually think Mets have a decent chance of making the playoffs this year thanks to healthy pitching (for now) and the hitters (Alonso, Cano and improved Rosario and Conforto)
