Default Eloy looks really really bad to start the year...

Time to worry?

Definitely. Every great player in the history of baseball has put up better numbers in the first four games of his career.

Trout sold for $5-10 Base Autos...

Eloy Base Autos $400-500...

MAJOR DIFFERENCE

I am NOT saying unload. He just looks really really bad. I get that it is crazy early....

He's going to be a double play machine. I feel bad for the people stuck with his chrome autos, so I'm offering 100 per base just as a goodwill gesture to members of the forum.

I’m being persuaded more and more by the learned folks on here that the time to sell Eloy has already passed - you mostly sell prospects when they are called up. It’s the percentage play.

Hot potato.

You will do alright that way... but the real trick is to buy whatever player is about to have a 3 HR game.

That’s a mighty fine gesture. I’ll offer $120.

Actually forget that. I’ll put that money towards Yelich or even better still...Mike.

Sure things.

Now you’re entering Savant like territory.

And then immediately sell after they hit their 3 homers?

Day trading at its finest.

Sounds tricky.

What overeaction? He looks absolutely terrible. Doesn’t mean he won’t or can’t fix it....

You can see the people who are heavily invested and can’t take reality for what it is.

Reminds a bit when I said Nola was going to be a Top 3-4 pitcher in baseball after like 20 games or so last year. Everybody quickly ran out of their closets to say no chance. He is average. He won’t be good until he does something relevant. You could see he was going to be quite dominant and he did exactly that.

Funny how people are tremendously guarded when the truth is spoken.

He does. But why that doesn’t necessarily concern me is that it hasn’t historically been a big part of his game. I think maybe the kid deserves 50-60 games to adjust. He started April in AA last year and also hit sub 200 for like the first 8 games.

Give him a break...he's a rookie, he's never experienced MLB pitching before.

And yet worthy of a thread? You do realize he's had 13 plate appearances, right? And he's a Dominican playing ball in a hoodie because he hasn't seen a game above 47 degrees yet.

Yeah, this thread would have been worthwhile if he was hitting .182 by June 1st but this is a waste of time.

I mean a guy selling for $400-500 base autos shouldn’t be hitting < .200 with strikeout issues where he is noticeably chasing and can’t lay off pitches. But yes i understand actually discussing baseball and reality is not something this forum likes to do.

We should never discuss when someone is playing poorly! Got it!

I feel like this has to be a joke. You can't possibly be serious.
