Default Curry exquisite rookie

Am I missing something here?
Why is there so much value in a rookie card with the player in a college jersey? Sure can't give even Michael Jordan away when depicted in a NC jersey.

Herd mentality still rules.

Iconic set and design. Even though it’s college uni was still a licensed UD product, the last year for exquisite. I personally see much more upside in these.

Even though you're trolling I agree, that card sucks. That design was way overdone.

I used to think so too but I finally got to see a Curry in hand at the National and it's seriously a pretty card. Aesthetically it's also his best looking penwork

I would much rather pick up the other Panini pro on card rc autos of Curry over the Exquisite.

A lot of people like the history of Exquisite. I think it is also interesting that Curry's rookie year was the first release of all Panini sets.

Who's trolling?
I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of shunning anything Jordan in a college jersey and putting the blinders on for Curry.
The hobby is wrong on one or the other. History will play this out

Did Jordan have a UNC RC from a Premiere brand autographed, yes or no?

No

There is your answer why it is different compared to the 1980s Jordan cards that UNC still sold packs of in the 1990s for $2.

It is actually being shunned value-wise. If it was a GS uni, you're probably looking at a $10,000+ card.

For me, this is it.

The college jersey hurts, but the fact that there are 450 of these really keeps it from being a $20k card for me.

If there were only 99 I think you'd have a $20k card regardless of the college uni

Agreed. Pro uniforms will always rule, but this is a nice card.

I'm not a fan of the exclusive license, but I like the fact that there was a solid rookie class for the one year the manufacturers overlapped.

I won’t spend 7k-8k for his card on college jersey, it’s kinda stupid.
If I can’t afford his NT RPA, I would rather buy his other on card autograph, there’re plenty good design rc auto cards with affordable prices, his classic auto, contender, crown royale . Those are a lot of better than exquisite college jersey.....

Agree wholeheartedly.
I believe the future will not treat the Curry exquisite kindly

I remember when these were 200 dollar cards, and I thought they were overpriced at the time.

I picked up some of his classic rc auto bgs9.5 in 2013, it was price range ard $150-200 each that time. Kinda regret didn’t pick up his NT RPA when it was only 1500-2000

Never in a million years did I think there would be so much hype over a college jersey auto

I mean Ben Simmons Exquisite he's in a t shirt and look what they sell for. The overall market seems to view this as Steph's third best RC after NT & Chrome and don't really see that changing anytime soon.

I don't get it either. NT RPA /99 is *the* Curry rookie to own, hands down.

Curry doesn’t have a lot of rc auto options. Once we get past the Nt rpa which is by far his best we are looking at.

His contenders auto is almost always bubbly
Classics auto on card but also in college uniform
Certified, court kings and others that are on stickers
Studio skylines auto is a great one but viewed as an insert auto
Prestige draft class auto which is on card and somewhat an nba uniform ?

For oncard nba uniform rookie autos you are looking at

Crown Royale /399

Smaller auto. Most recent bgs 9/10 sold for 1225 so not cheap at all even though about 1/2 the price of exquisite.

Next day auto

Almost never pops up but an amazing card.

Am I missing anything? At the very least the curry exquisite auto appears to be in the top 5 for auto cards of his.

But the problem with NT curry is that some of them were changed. The jersey were switched. So, if you have the money for one, would you buy an NT Curry rc, with the possibility that the GU jersey is fake?

I think the classics jersey is actually the alternate "San Francisco Warriors" jersey

Great points in Steph rookie cards. 09/10 had what...like 14 products. 17/18 Had a whopping 28 I think. Not much else High end in 09-10. NT was the only RPA with Jumbo patch and oncard auto. Although the Abs Mem RPM /5 is gorgeous, they were sticker I believe. The Limited jumbo RPA is sticker but also a variation to phenom spotlight

Yes 09 classic auto is in San Francisco warriors jersey, and curry did wear that in 2009-2010
