Default To those who were missing SP's from 2019 Topps Heritage boxes...

I think I found them all!

I opened up half a case today. My dealer didn't buy the other half. Here are the hauls:

Gold Trout Jersey /99
Black Soto
Black Torres
Black Chrome Benintendi /70
Kopech AU
Nye AU
Walker Buehler French
Actions of Acuna and Torres

That in itself would have been a good half case.

I also got

375 short prints!!

#ThanksTopps

Are you going to complain about too many SP's? It wouldn't be a HeritageKing post without an incredible amount of negativity and complaining.

Congrats on the haul though!

except topps is sold out of H. Hyping wouldn't do a thing on their end. Nice try though.

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one. I opened up two boxes the other day and hit 103 SP's. Every pack had atleast 2 SP's. The packs that didn't have an insert had 3 in them. I nearly put together the complete SP set (78/100) with the rest being dupes.

Funny thing is, box one had an action variation of Rizzo and box two had an action variation of Danny Jansen. I thought box 2 was dead but did end up hitting the Mike Trout nickname variation as well. And yes, I did offer some up to a fellow collector that was shorted their SP's so I tried to share the love.

The Heritage “SP” certainly push the boundary of what short print should mean... based on my math, the implied print runs might be something like 18-20k/card

Vs SP in Topps Update, for instance, which are more like 2.5-3k/card (they are ~1/box in hobby)

[EDIT: updated with actual math, as opposed to my best memory]

Could it be that we shared the same case? Florida here.

Yes inserts had 2 SP's per pack and then otherwise there were 3. Nice Trout!

you are over-numbering again

SP for Heritage means that a card is printed in shorter quantities then a non-SP in the set. nothing more, nothing less

for many years now, that has been a card from #401 - 500

Haha! Yes yes yes... my only point is this seems to be an over used term that means something quite different product-to-product, and unless the audience is sophisticated, like you, it creates all kind of funny impressions in casual collectors that I feel sorry for (ie they think they have a rare card, but not so much in the Heritage case)

I mean, Jeesh! “SP” in Heritage has print runs 10x “SP” in most other Topps product.

I'm in North Carolina. I'm not sure where my owner ordered his loose boxes from. And thanks on the kind words. I know its gimmicky but that's my first nickname card I've pulled.

One would hope, but 2018 Ginter has been out a long time compared to 2019 Heritage. You would think something would have surfaced by now, even though people probably bust a heck of a lot more Heritage than Ginter every year.

You are dealing with SP's vs a miniscule number of woods.

And A&G is a product where a TON might sit unopened for years.

I'm interested in the black Soto & Torres! Price or are you looking for anything to trade for? I'm building a black border set.
