Default BUYER BEWARE: PSA-9 trimmed Michael Jordan 2007-08 Fleer Supreme Court 12/25 Auto

This card is currently for sale on Ebay by seller dobermanboy30.
Here is the Ebay link to current listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-08-Fle...YAAOSwaudbUnK~

Here is the Worthpoint link to raw card prior to trimming: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...eme-1872378489

I have circled and noted the areas of trimming on the PSA card and referenced the same areas on the pre-trimmed photos.

Buyer Beware and above all buyers do your homework.
These cards do not take long to find.

After trimming and then graded by PSA:

He even chopped off some of the bottom of the card too. Unreal how PSA doesn’t catch this.

Yes they did - I just chose to focus on a more obvious area.

Plain and simple... PSA does not measure cards.
I am growing more and more confident of this.

They just speed through the process and cash in.

It's all about money.

So sad. The spacing on the basketball is clear as day.

I hope this seller doesn't have more than this one. Because he has some very high end cards on his ebay page.

I am not saying this to be dramatic, but I am beginning to suspect that almost the majority of high end graded cards have been altered, unless it was graded more than 5 or 6 years ago. At this point, any card being sold by someone who regularly sells higher-end cards is completely suspect, and almost any card sold by PWCC in a PSA 10 holder is suspect. I am actually happy that some of my higher end Lebrons were graded 12 years ago and are 8.5's and not 10s.

Yes I noticed that too.
Especially the Brady's.

Feels like cards in slabs from years before may carry more value. So many threads these days on trimmed cards.

Time for a class action lawsuit against PSA. Just wanted to rehash my story of when I bought a PSA 9 Tom Brady 199/1250 back in the day. Bought from a guy on ebay who had a boston username and then I took the card out of the case and sent it to BGS so I might have a shot at a BGS 9.5. BGS determined it to be a altered card. I swear to god I took it out and sent it immediately to BGS. It seems PSA is grading trimmed cards. I can't wait when they are out of business one day.

Yes run the rough numbers. These are all being on the generous side meaning it is probably worse. Couple years ago PSA claimed they did 1 million cards over the year. Let's make it 1.2, that is 100k per month.

22 business days a month, that is 4,545 cards per day. Assuming eight hour work day, that is 568 cards an hour.

30 graders means each grades 19 cards per hour or 3 minutes per.
20 graders means each grades 28 cards per hour or just over 2 minutes per.
15 graders means each grades 38 cards per hour or just over 1 and a half minutes per.

Keep in mind this is no breaks, no double checking on anything, bathroom breaks, etc. Also total number of cards is probably higher now. Guessing when you factor in fatigue, breaks, increased cards, the graders are under a minute per card. Is that long enough to accurately measure, grade, authenticate, and log a card?

No, but you can sure rake in the cash.

Yup that sealed the case. Nice find, corndog. A sleeping giant has been awakened on these boards.
