Arrow Scammer & Patch Faker Gabriel Seraf Spews More BS While Trying to Clear his Name

I received this PM tonight from medstate99:

Quote:
Sir
I want to clear my name. You pointed me out, and I’d like for my name to be removed from all the shadyness. I see all the trimming will lead to people losing reputations and mine was never a bad one. I would not do stupid things, like them, to ruin my life.

I am not new, but with the exception of items I bought in a lot last year, and items this year, I don’t have years of experience and knowledge. I am trying to grade and make money.

I’ve spoken about how I’ve bought a lot of logo patches, and I still have almost all my items purchased since April, even 1 color patches. I buy mostly to grade and hold for investments. All those items are unaltered since April as I didn’t sell those yet. I can send proof.

You called me out on all those cheap cards that I was selling last year- I bought those in a lot a long time ago. Please do not attach me to any other older year items because I didn’t have any of those super high end. I only had the lot, and sold many of those, all low end. The reason I got 1 bad feedback was because I shipped late, admitted it was my fault due to a personal issue, and I stopped selling because he couldn’t get the forum to remove my negative. It hurt me. I haven’t bought anything else, until early this year.

Here‘s the story on the previous cards. I am telling you what happened to many of the cards I bought from Jan-Mar. Please do not divulge this information, as I am scared someone may retaliate. I had a previous friend who dealt with someone in NY, and that person was involved in violence and murder, so I want to be safe:

I live in Maryland, and Virginia is not far. At the end of March there was a show in Chantilly VA, where I had went to get my items graded. I thought Beckett had a machine on site, but it was only the raw service. I know they don’t sell for much, and I didn’t want to pay twice to get it sealed via mail and at show. After showing my items off and mingling, I left. I even sold a FOTL box I purchased (via panini) to steel city collectibles right before exiting. After I left, and went into the parking lot, someone came after me asking about the cards I had. I don’t remember how many, but it was a few dozen in my backpack. He said he name was “E”, so I introduced myself as “G”. We spoke for a few minutes and he said he was interested in grading too, and that he had a eBay store and he sold items around the county. I was skeptical, but it was in the open parking lot, during the day, with cameras and people around, so I felt safe. He offered me money for a lot of my items, more than I paid. It was probably between what I paid and what I’d get if graded gem, so I figured I’d take the cash and sell without the fees of reselling/grading. Like if an item I paid $500 for, was worth $700 graded gem, he paid me $600 for example. I had a money fraud pen and his funds were clean. It was a good amount of money and items, but there was no indication that I should be worried. We completed the exchange after he looked over my items and paid me. I did not get more info before we shook hands, but I did keep an eye on him when he went to his vehicle. The license plate said “IMNBITZ” or “IMNBISZ” or something (maybe meaning “I mean biz” or “I am bitz” or “bizz”).

Unfortunately I have no other info, but it was one person who bought many items from me. I don’t know who he was.

I am trying to get my reputation back. I am on here trying to be open, but many just make fun of me with judgement. You have not done so, and have also posted my information attached to these, so please see how I’m trying to clear all this up.

I am fairly new compared to everyone (in the high end card field), but I’m trying to make money honestly.

I would not be stupid to alter a Mcdavid card that only contained jersey from the factory. And how can anyone alter patches when eBay has completed listings for 90 days?! That was so obvious for the other person to make that mistake. I did not break any cases from grading companies- anyone can see the Brady contenders was small, and I sold it to this guy as it was in the case. He said he could sell it in the authentic case. I was not involved in any shadyness.

Again, I have a lot of cards I’ve purchased since that show and can send you photos showing unaltered. I have a lot of logo patches I’ve bought well before you called me out- I’ve bought a lot over the last month. I’ve told you how I sold off the other older items too. I can also help point out those who continue to run fraud if I find anything.

Your words would clear my name. I want to help so I can continue doing what I’m doing with grading and investing. Please help me out. Please also don’t divulge the sale info for safety reasons. I will work with you and I need my name removed from the shady dealings because it has nothing to do with me. Thank you very much.

So I decided to revisit his buyer feedback and found this:

He'll have plenty of time to provide receipts of all his 'pre-altered purchases' when ICE comes knocking.

Just hope they can find parking for their armored vehicle with those 2 volunteer Firetrucks in the driveway.

He seems paranoid , maybe feeling guilty for being a degenerate card alterer. Maybe one of your "customers" will come looking for you and that's why you're worried about your information being posted?

Also, thought this guy went away wonder why he needs his name cleared here? He never really sold here before....

So ebitz is giving out hand jobs in parking lots for cards. This whole hobby is just silly.

So much time went into that missive, so much editing, softening...

It wasn't me, it was that guy over there, in the wind. AND he's tough.

I like 'All those items are unaltered since April as I didn’t sell those yet.'
April was less than 3 weeks ago.

All this guy had to do was either disappear or just admit who he sold all his stuff to. Seems simple enough.

MedState99: "I am fairly new compared to everyone (in the high end card field), but I’m trying to make money honestly."

This is the sad realization of the hobby these days. Seems like everyone is trying to make a quick buck in a sleazy way and it usually always involves the high-end card field, which is where the majority of scumbags are and where they try and take each other's back to protect their "investments".

I’ve re-read the OP multiple times. Each time I laugh as he talks about introducing themselves to each other using only a single letter and then referencing the license plate. Then I get to the picture of the jersey and just nod my head in awe and appreciation for the way 3124508 has managed this entire situation.

Well played sir, well played.

Sorry. I put him on ignore. Don't have time to deal with common scammers. Unless he wants to publicly post more (because he still isn't banned ), this was the grand finale.

Yeah this is the most confusing part. These guys get reported and nothing happens. Very confusing by the mods.

I find it more entertaining when they aren't banned. More stuff gets exposed the more they talk.
