Is that the pop report he wrote down?

So clearly he has knowledge of condition and grading yet still shipped it that way. Unbelievable.

Hope the seller didn’t write on the post-it while it was on the card. Had that happen to me once and there were pen indentations all over.

Sure is! I don't know why you would be concerned with the POP report, when you obviously have no clue about card grades. Guess what guy, GLUE on the surface is bad...

After seeing how he shipped it, it wouldn't surprise me if he put the post it note on the card then wrote on it.

I got a baseball card delivered yesterday. A refractor. No post it note. Was delivered in an envelope and toploader. No sleeve. Surface has issues. Was so annoyed. Card was only $40 but still. Sellers know how eBay is. Its so easy for anyone to return anything. Im actually keeping the card because I need it for a set and it was a hard find but still. Dont understand some people.

I am amazed at how absurdly some people package and ship cards.

Was it actually damaged? YOu never actually say.. Post it note glue is not as sticky as painters tape so it could just rub off with a microfiber cloth or something similar. If its not damaged then what is your claim?

If its actually damaged then yes send it back otherwise you really have no claim.

To the naked eye? Looks ok, but on a $200.00 card?... I know its chump change for some but i consider that to be at least semi- high end. Maybe I could just pass it off to some unexacting buyer such as your self? LOL

Again what is the damage you are claiming? I send in many cards for grading so I am asking, what was the actual damage. Why you getting so defensive you have to try to make a personal attack?

If you feel it is damaged then you have every right to return it, but if its not that bad as you say then it likely is not damaged. I have a card now that got apiece of painters tape on its front edge that sits in a PSA 10 holder now. A little microfiber cloth and it was good as new.

In other words you asked for a partial refund on an (so far in the story) undamaged item. Not sure you’ll get the reaction you were hoping for from anyone here that sells.

Asking for a partial refund is now considered buyer abuse and will result in any feedback being removable and any case you open possibly result in you losing if the seller knows what he is doing. I have had 2 negs removed and a case decided in my favor under these new policies. 1 neg was for item arriving late even though I shipped on time other was related to the case I won buyer refused to return wanted a partial refund and another item.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/r...policy?id=4374

Not allowed
Requesting a shipping service not offered by the seller
Requesting the seller ship to an address other than what you included in checkout
Requesting to use a payment method not offered during checkout
Requesting the seller hold your item so you can pay later
Requesting a partial refund without returning the item
Request additional items or services not included in the original listing or asking for a discount
Finding an item on eBay and taking the sale off eBay

how can he make it right? you obviously are not happy with the card so just return it for a full refund. why ask for a partial refund and keep the card you think is ruined?

Excuse me...I did not ask for a partial refund. I was nearly asking him what he wanted to do. Giving him a chance. I could just as easily filed a claim or drop negative feedback. What happens evertime you do this? The seller complains that you didn't contact them first and give them a chance right?

Not trying to be defensive i was just saying, thats whats gonna happen if I don't return the item or send it in to be graded. Im passing it on. SO if you want to offer me 225 right now id be happy to get out of it make everyone happy LOL

No seriously there was some good feedback in the responses here. Im not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I think ill sleep on it. The seller went silent on me so I have three options. Send it back for full refund. Submit it to grading anyways and pray(not smart). Or resale raw... both of the 2nd options are coming with negative feed back.. so I think asking him to "make it right" overall was the proper move. You can infer whatever you want from that. If you choose to feel extorted or something for a partial refund then thats whatever. A good seller first of all would suggest what he wanted me to do when I asked. wether that be to send it back to him and refund with out a claim, give a partial,, or to go pound sand(his stance lol). Obviously he doesn't care so thats what his negative feedback will say. Poorly packaged, minor damage, horrible customer service, avoid seller.....

Again, who does that? Post it note ON the card.. Pfft!!!!

How could he make it right? Offer a partial and allow you to keep it? As a seller if its good enough to keep its good enough to pay what you agreed to initially. Or return for full refund. I always respond to these as return for full refund. Nothing more nothing less.

To me telling him to make it right is a veiled attempt at feedback extortion. Most smart sellers do not fear negs and some are worth taking as long as you do not get a lot for the same reason in a short period of time they will not affect a seller one bit.. They also know not to respond or respond with "return for refund."

Yes he was wrong in how he shipped it.

I once had an $1100 card shipped to me in a card saver / PWE.

Some people will go to great / insane lengths to save a few bucks.

Is there glue left on the surface?
Or are you upset about the potential for damage?
