Default Where is Giannis's ceiling?

Giannis shot 44% in the conf finals, 33% from 3, and 54% from the line against the stellar front court of 34 year old Marc Gasol and Pascal Siakam?

He has a worse mid range touch than ME , those aren't initials - I mean me, and stopped attacking the basket because he shot 17-36 from the line his last 4 games.

I'm not sure about this guy's ceiling. He is a generational talent as an athlete, but every athlete loses their bounce. Once that's gone, he has no jumper to fall back on, like say a Kobe, KG or a Malone.

He is of course only 24 so there is time but as I said, his shooting touch is absolutely horrific.
When it comes to playoffs, defences work you out. The Raptors took two games to work out how to shut him down.

They'll be closer. Giannis wasn't going to go off vs GSW if he couldn't score on the Siakam or Ibaka.

Let’s not overreact. Raptors had a great game plan with right personnel for it. Giannis is young and improving every year, his 3 has come along which will help, he is a menace down low. He needs to improve his playmaking to open things up right now he is pretty predictable, but in some ways that’s because the bucks offense isn’t much movement. It’s option 1: Giannis drive. Option 2: if nothing is there he throws it out after his spin move. His play will evolve and they will continue to build around him. His ceiling is one of the best to play the game. When I look at his improvement, I can seem him continuing to develop a jump shot, the effort and drive is there the skill is there, the guy has put in extreme work his whole career and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.

Giannis is a hardworking athlete with tremendous physical gifts. He is not a natural basketball player with the shooting touch or special vision that the true greats display. He is more of a manufactured player that is being groomed to become something great based on his physical gifts.

Stop, when you’re an MVP candidate, first team all NBA you are a natural basketball player. Ya he’s huge and an anomaly, like idk almost all the NBA, full of people who are bigger than most people we have ever encountered and are more explosive than any player we played against.

Good shout, he'd be freed up with a more creative point guard that's for sure.

Yup, three first team all defensive players will do that to you. Heck, I'm pretty sure Gasol, Ibaka and Leonard were ADPOY....throw in the young bucks and he was stifled.

It’s a tough matchup with great game planning by Nurse. And Giannis doesn’t have the passing yet to deal with the pressure put on him. He plays out of control sometimes when he is forcing it. I think this finals will be a better matchup that that Raps won this though

Does this sound like Giannis ceiling (copied from wikipedia)? Guess who it is:

8× NBA All-Star
5× All-NBA First Team
All-NBA Second Team
2× All-NBA Third Team
3× NBA Defensive Player of the Year
4× NBA All-Defensive First Team
NBA All-Defensive Second Team
NBA All-Rookie First Team
NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion
5× NBA rebounding leader
2× NBA blocks leader

Dwight Howard?

His ceiling until he develops a consistent midrange and free throw shot is exactly what we saw in this series.

A physical freak who can impose his will for majority of the regular season and postseason until he runs into the best of the best. Nothing wrong with that, but it pumps the breaks a bit on him being the next coming of Jesus.

Number 2 proved that he's still the best player in the East despite not winning regular season awards.

As one of the biggest Giannis collectors since 2014 i believe his ceiling has been surpassed already. From a card value standpoint i dont think we ever see these prices again.

The first 7 are possible.... the last 4... not a chance.

He might be lucky to win the MVP this season.... but he is one and done.

This team will look far different heading into next season. This was his ONE shot.... he blew it.

Sell before others realize it.

This is what I love about the sports card market. When everyone is reacting one way, most times it is best to "fade the public" and go the other way. Giannis has alot of room yet to see his ceiling. While I wanted the Bucks to continue, I love what Giannis future holds. I hope most people keep thinking he has peaked. I am excited to pickup alot of stuff now that they are done playing.
