Took a big “L” on a Lebron James Finest Green Refractor

Have been looking out for these for the longest time. Saw one pop up yesterday and messaged the seller on eBay how much he wanted for it.

I agreed to his asking price without a bat of an eye. Made the offer and I was ready to pay immediately. Then he says something is wrong with his account and he can’t accept.

I offered to pay thru PayPal and he doesn’t say anything about that.

Night passes and in the morning he says he still can’t accept and that he also got a new offer for higher price. He said he was still having trouble with his account. Funny thing he kept mentioning about his new higher offer.

So I said if you want to sell the card just email me and we can do it thru PayPal . Then all of a sudden his account is working and I lost out on the card.

Very disappointed because
1) thought we had agreed on a fair asking price by seller
2) if the account didn’t have a “hiccup” there would never have been another offer


I think the card was listed the same day I saw it, so I don’t know if he was just waiting it out to see if he got more offers and was jerking me around or it really didn’t work. Whole thing seemed a bit off. I understand it’s his card and he can do whatever he wants.

Anyways maybe not worth a thread but wanted to see if anyone had a disappointing experience similar to that, especially a card you’ve been chasing for some time .

Ya sucks man, still feeling the pain of the loss today lol

I was already over paying by about $100 for it, but these don’t pop up too often #/89.
