Default Buyer said his 1/1 is the rarest

I recently sold a 1/1 card... and the buyer told me he’s happy because that was the “rarest one in the 1/1 set”.

I just thought it was kinda funny. Can a 1/1 technically be any more rare than any other 1/1 ?

what card was it? mathematically, no. but chances of it surfacing for a collector to buy, that can make it "rarer" per se.

Technically it can, if a base card is #1/1 it can be considered rarer than say a printing plate of that card because even though it says 1/1 there would be four different variations of it

I do have a card numbered 200/199. Mathematically, that's greater than a 1/1.
