Will I Get My eBay Bucks Back If Payment Is Refunded?

So, I bought an item using about $50 in eBay Bucks. It’s been almost a week, the buyer hasn’t shipped, even though his listed turnaround time is 2 days. Tried sending a message, hasn’t responded. It looks like I will have to get eBay to step in and refund me. My question is, if the case doesn’t get resolved by August 2nd when the bucks expire, do I still get my refund?

If its after they expire i doubt it.

This happened to me earlier this year and, no, I did not get my EBay bucks back.

OP, I would get them back. No matter how high I had to go, or ears would hear my ass chewing. Oh yes, I would get them back!

I had to look this up last quarter because I had a seller not ship for an extended period of time. I’m positive I came across something from eBay that showed your eBucks will get credited at any time for use if a refund is necessary.

They have changed the policy used to be the expiration date was the same for all so if you got them refunded after they expired you lost them. Now looks like they give you 21 days after they are refunded back. I had it happen years ago and ended up having 2 days to use the bucks.

What if I pay for an item with my eBay Bucks Certificate and I return that item? Do I lose my eBay Bucks?

No, you do not lose your eBay Bucks Certificate. When you return the item, we will re-issue your eBay Bucks Certificate and you will then have either 21 days or until the end of the existing redemption period (whichever is longer) to spend your eBay Bucks Certificate.

This happened to me twice last quarter (just my luck). I had to call them each time for them to properly re-issue a new certificate.
