Default Heritage High Number Hot/Error Case?! Flip stocks.

Hi- got a case of HHN for my store and the first three boxes appear to have approximately 40-50 Flip Stocks each. It’s hard to tell from the picture but here is the difference. Top card is glossy. Most packs have 1-2, with a few having zero, and some having as much as five. Has anyone heard anything about this? Did I luck out? Is there some glossy parallel I don’t know about? Any info would be hugely appreciated.

do the fronts feel rough and not smooth? Those would be flip stock. The backs are super smooth

The base coloring and feel vary, some backs are brighter and some are darker. That is common

Backs are glossy and fronts are matted. They’re definitely flips

Judging by the light glare on the Garcia, definitely flips. And if this is true, man oh man Topps did you screw up again. There are only (5) of each flip, a total of 1,125 cards. If you're getting 40 per box - you're going to have over 40% of the print run. You're also gonna be one semi-wealthy dude if you get a couple each of the big dogs...

Same codes. Looks like 7 of the 12 boxes had this same error. Two of my customers walked away with gold mines.

There are probably boxes of 18 Ginter loaded with wood minis like this in a case out there somewhere.

So you opened the rest of the case yourself aside from the two boxes customers bought? How many total flipstocks did you end up with?

Update: they’re flip stocks. Seem to have gotten the entire print run of about 20-30 guys. Eloy is the best, but most are commonish.

The person who was linked in this story has the same flips as me. Eloy Jimenez, Bryce Harper, etc. Something is wrong here.

OK I am very interested in hearing more about this case. Topps sounds like it's really doing bang up quality control here.

We've heard some grumblings in the hobby-verse about some 2019 Topps Heritage High Number cases seeming to have an overabundance of flip-stock cards. Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag. We're pleased to announce that flip-stock hot cases are real, and they're spectacular! Due to demand in previous years, and totally not an error on our part, we've decided to obliterate the print run of this often sought-after parallel by making them as cool and relevant as purple refractors!

Sincerely,
Topps

Haha, it's all good.

Sadly, I may have made it a little too believable.
