Hope so honestly. I really like his game and remember he was putting up some good numbers when Anthony Davis didn't play. Do you think the coach would want to start Jaxson Hayes over him?

First and sixth place in the west will be separated by no more than 3 games by seasons end. Gonna be tight at the top

Hope to see Bam go off this season. Really has limitless potential (the heat fan factor may be hyping this statement up)

I think they're capable of being a playoff team this season if everything goes well...don't see Hayes starting him over Okafor unless they are at the bottom of the standings.

I can see this happening... Last year attempted a 3 against the lakers when Lebron didn't guard him and the shot was an in and out. If this offseason work pans out, I hope we can see a 3 during the season.

BTW: there is an IG page dedicated to posting Ben Simmons every day until he hits a 3 I believe it is @daily_benjamin

You think that the Pelicans (when healthy) are a playoff team in the Western Conference? I don't disagree, but I don't agree. It really depends on how they play together and how they run their offense. Possible in my eyes

Raptors make the Finals again.
Bucks get bumped early in the post season
Clippers make the playoffs but fizzle

Finals will be TOR vs Warrior rematch

They'll start Favors over him though.

I think they'd be a Playoff team in the East this season. Probably 9th in the West.

Favors
Zion
Ingram
Redick
Jrue
Lonzo

That is a talented group worth watching

My hot take is that Dejounte Murray becomes an absolute difference maker for SA.

Klay comes back and GS will finish strong, but lose to Kawhi again in the Playoffs.

LeBron throws a player or 2 (or the coach) under the bus as usual and they get sent packing in a trade.

Ben Simmons shoots 35% from deep, wins MVP easily and first-team all-defense.

Oh my god... How’d I forget About favors? Honestly a sleeper and a great source of mentorship for the young pelican squad. JJ and Favors are great players to have on your team and I can see where this 8th seed prediction is coming from.

Jrue Holiday is honestly one of the best point guards in my opinion. I’d say top 10 for sure on MY list. He just does so much and brings so much to the table that he’s hard to ignore. Definitely seeing him playing a huge role for the pelicans defensive rotations and communication.

I 100% agree with the Murray statement. He brings so much for your team
Hope Lonnie can get some more minutes as I can See him develop into a great player with his ability to shoot and his pure athleticism. Demar and Aldridge will continue to do great. I could See the spurs making some noise this year in the west for sure. Almost beat Denver last season without Murray.

I really hope Klay Thompson comes back on time. He’s one of the most entertaining off ball players to watch and his jumper is so smooth.

As much as I hate to say it, that Lebron statement may definitely happen BUT I think when you’re a player of that caliber, and the entire franchise is built around you, you should have some say as to what you expect/want. Teams need to fulfill their superstar’s wish. Unfortunately, it may cost members of the coaching staff or even some players but at the end of the day, it’s Lebron. That doesn’t mean it’s okay whatsoever but it’s understandable when you’re in a desperation to win with all the talent currently surrounding you, and it’s just not working.

Vegas seems to think it'll be between the Mavs and Pels for that 8th spot. I'm not sure if I'll go out on that limb, but they've got what looks like a nice team on paper. They could be really, really, really good defensively (Zion, Jrue, Ball, Ingram). I like David Griffin's vision.

I can see him definitely leading philly... losing JJ and jimmy and picking up two really solid players on the defensive end who can still shoot is huge in my opinion. Honestly, It’s Ben’s responsibility to create some looks and I feel Like this is the perfect chance to do so.

Ben
J Rich
Tobias
Al
Joel

Really good team. Could see Tobias having a great season

The Pelicans are 100% better than the Western Conference Knicks. They basically inherited a low 30s win Laker squad + Jrue, Redick, and Favors with some added Zion.

M
Yup. Seems like a decent floor with potentially massive short term upside. Having a strong defense always gives you a chance in games.

I'll fall off my chair with excitement if Ben Simmons gets the MVP award. How would that happen though?

Philly get the 1 seed. Simmons averages??? At absolute best out him up to 20/10/10 but Embiid would be at 30 and 12 etc

But ya never know. I should throw $10 on him to win.

1. The lakers miss the playoffs.

2. The kings and pels both make the playoffs.
