Default 2006 Complete Avengers box break

Boxes are tough to find now and almost double what they were at release but I still think this is the best sketch release Rittenhouse has put out and I'll still pick up the occasional box when I can find one.

This box arrived yesterday:

Box #7807

Greatest Enemies- GE2,GE3,GE7,GE8
Mightiest Heroes- MH3, MH5
Legendary Heroes- LH2

Sketch- I'm not 100% sure on either artist or Character but I think it's High Evolutionary by Matthew Goodmanson.

That is a cool sketch. When did this product come out? My local shop almost never gets the Rittenhouse products in. Are the base and inserts as nice as the sketch you got?

This set came out in 2006. The base cards are decent but not spectacular, the inserts are gorgeous. There were 8000 sequentially numbered boxes, 40 packs per box, with 3 levels of inserts, Greatest Enemies 9 card set- 1:10 packs, Mightiest Heroes 18 card set- 1:20 packs, Legendary Heroes 9 card set- 1:40 packs. The sketch cards were all full color and were 1 per box, there were also 100 sketches by Stan Lee randomly inserted (all Captain America in pencil).
The sketches were overall superb. Here's some scans of the inserts I mentioned and I'll show a few of my sketches too.

Greatest Enemies:

Legendary Heroes:

Mightiest Heroes (my personal favorite Marvel insert set)

That Iron Man sketch is incredible! I wish I had such luck with my sketch pulls. I just got back into non-sports last year. My son loves superheroes and I bought some of the 07 Marvel Masterpieces and we are hooked. Are you going to open any of the series three of the Marvel Masterpieces? I was planning on getting two or three boxes from Blowout when I buy my case of UD Documentary.

If I send you like $5 via paypal would that cover a few of the cards from the Avengers set if you have any extras for my son? He likes Spider-Man, Hulk and Iron Man. Anything cool looking to a 5 year old. If so let me know.
Thanks

I do plan on opening some MM3. I skipped MM2 except for a couple of cheap boxes once the price dropped, the set was too watered down and the odds of getting a good sketch were pretty slim. The samples I've seen from some of the artists are very good, and a couple of artists went all out (Danny Kuang and Sanna U spring to mind). I might post some of their cards in the non-sport section here later. I think the best release might be the Fantastic 4 Archives set from Rittenhouse, it looks pretty good and I've already ordered 2 cases for myself.

Fantastic Four Archives Trading Cards - Rittenhouse Archives

PM me your address and I'll send some base cards and a few inserts I have multiples of, whatever I can get into a 180 pt top loader. No charge.
