Default WOW, PSA has jacked up the turnaround times!

PSA already has the new turnaround times for 2020. PSA is now only for the super rich and/or those with the patience of Job.

Regular AND Economy are now both 40 day turnarounds! Why the same turnaround time! What's the point besides the declared value?

Express is now 20 days instead of 8! Holy Moly!

If you are willing to pay $200 or more, you'll get your cards with a 2-day turnaround or better.

Also, PSA will now be asking you to write the tier name you're requesting like "regular", "express" and so on instead of writing down the estimated turnaround time on the outside of the box.

I am so glad I just shipped out my last order earlier today. PSA is now officially out or my patience and price range. Thankfully, I have collected virtually every card I can get my hands on.

Yeah, it is enough. PSA was my go to grading service, but, it looks like I'll have to settle with SGC for the time being even though the slabs are a bit too large.

Good luck with the grades!

It's all random.. Ive submitted 5 bulk orders in the past 5 months have have received 4 of them back within 6 weeks since PSA logged them in. Only one left is one that was logged by PSA on 10/11.

I sent in a 362 card bulk order that was checked in 11/15 and grades popped yesterday, it’s always unpredictable. Faster than usual but 6 weeks is great. No guarantees on that but it happens.

As being a collector, I love it! I can wait for my cards to come back, I am not looking to slab/flip.

wow, so your 362 card bulk beat my 6 card crossover received 10/30, and my 22 card "regular/25day" sub received 11/14. do I get a partial refund for my $20/card sub taking longer than your $8/card sub?

My 6-card regular submission was entered on Nov 5 and is still in QA2. I'm happy for the bulkers who get quicker than expected turnarounds, however, I hate that my regular turnarounds are being left is limbo.

As for a partial refund, unless they have changed the policy for this year, if your order is more than 10 business days longer than the estimated turnaround time, if management approves, you will get a 10% voucher to use on any future submission for the next 365 days.

Again, 2020 might have changed that policy. Check with a PSA agent to verify if your order fits this problem.

It's a vicious cycle isn't it.

Big breakers/investors submit more and more cards for grading these days, hundreds if not thousands of cards a year. Huge bulks of 100-200-300+ cards. Plus the hobby seems to be growing as a whole so more and more people are getting into the game all the time. A new guy here, another guy there, each starting to send orders. Maybe some huge orders, maybe some small orders, but it's adding up quick.

Grading companies start falling behind, maybe rush the actual grading a little more to push more cards through. How long are they really looking at these cards now? 30 seconds or less? Quality of the service suffers and maybe cards get graded a little more favorably. More cards that might be 9's come back 10's because the inventory has to keep turning over as fast as possible and things get missed.

People quickly notice cards are getting better grades and say ''hey, I should crack and resub that big pile of 9s I've got over there, maybe they'll gem this time''. More big bulk orders from people hoping to bump grades piling up on top of the mountain of regular subs they're already swamped in. The same cards being graded two or three times over now. Graders fall even more behind redoing a bunch of their work over again.

''Why are turnaround times are getting longer''

LOL

I also sent a 3 card crossover submission with it. They still have it so I have no idea what to say. The bulk came back quicker. Still waiting on my crossover as well.

I just sent in 3 subs with about 400 cards total under the older pricing. I saw it went up to 100 days for bulk. As far as actual turnaround times, it depends on what you are sending. I have had bulk come back in a month instead of 3. If your submission has vintage and newer cards it will take longer. I recommend keeping similar years together.
