Default Good Hockey Blogs/YT Channels/Podcasts?

Hello! Can anyone reccomend any solid hockey card blogs, YouTube channels, or podcasts? I'm starting a Cale Makar PC (played at UMass, my alma mater) and would like to have at least a baseline knowledge of what to look out for.

Picked up a UD Canvas Young Gun to start, but sort of lost as to where I go from here.

The Canvas is a nice card- his regular YG will be out with Series 2 soon.
His other RCs currently on the market are 2019-20 Artifacts, Black Diamond, Trilogy, MVP, OPC, Buyback, Parkhurst etc. Topps has some cool stickers.
This link to Cardboard Connection is handy to look up players and find what products they are in, release dates, checklists etc.-
https://www.cardboardconnection.com/
IMO his next yet to be released best RCs will be in Ice (/99) and SP Authentic (auto /999). Following that will be his Premier RPA (/99) next summer and finally The Cup for his highest end RPA /99.
Good luck with your PC! Unfortunately, though, Quinn Hughes will likely beat him out for the Calder (ROY) Trophy this year.

Thanks for the info! Now to decide if I'm going to pick those up through eBay as they pop up or wait a bit until they hit Sportlots/COMC. Going to be a tight race to the finish for the Calder between Quinn Hughes, Maker, and Olofsson.

Are there any hockey card YouTube channels you watch or podcasts you listen to?

I haven't followed anything myself but a quick Google got me these FWIW-
https://puckjunk.com/
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...s/id1311077085
https://player.fm/podcasts/Hockey-Cards
I get most of my info here on BO, word of mouth at shows (I deal locally) and at my LCS (only 4 blocks from home and I've known the owner for over 20 years). I'm fortunately in a very hockey-centric card culture.

Puck junk looks like a good spot, I'll make sure to check it out! Definitely some opportunity out there in the hockey card podcast world. Looks like Rockem Sockem has a decent run in 2017 but ran out of steam.

I don't know if it would be considered "good", but I run my own hockey card blog on my website titled 'Beyond The Crease'.

You can check it out here if you like:

https://creasecollector.weebly.com/blog

I'm a player collector also, so if you have any questions about it please let me know.

Player collecting is something I enjoy very much and is a big staple in this hobby for me. Best of luck with your Makar PC!

Thanks. I started Puck Junk in 2007 because I love collecting hockey cards. I also have a podcast, that ran from 2015 to 2017, and then started up again in September of 2019 and has been going strong ever since. I would love to know what you all think of it:

FYI, you can find the Puck Junk Hockey Podcast on iTunes, Google Play Music, Spotify and all other major podcast platforms.
