Just noticed that there's bgs slabs with out the subgrades and they are selling for way less.
Any reason why there's different slabs and variance in prices?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-20-Pan...p2047675.l2557 https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-20-Pan...p2047675.l2557 |

BGS now offers a cheaper service without the subgrades. Makes no sense to me why offer this because the grader still has to grade the cards and knows the subs. Is it really that much more time consuming or expensive to add the subs to the label? |

Not having a sub grade is an easier way to hide the cards actual flaw and smart tactic by sellers at times but it is usually better to have subs if you're buying BGS graded cards. Still I rather have a BGS 9.5 no subs than BGS 9.5 with (9.0,9.5,9.5,9.5) if I'm selling. Only way I would want subs is if it is QUAD 9.5 or better or 10 with 3 9.5.
Overall: 9.5 no subs > 3 9.5 and 1 9.0 Quad 9.5 or higher > 9.5 no subs |

When doing thousands of cards it's probably a big time saver for the graders not having to write in each subgrade, then typing it, etc. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I love the OPTION for non-subgrades! Makes it cheaper for me to get my own stuff encased. If PSA started assigning subgrades, then made it a new requirement (upping the cost or not) people would be livid. Whether it's OCD, or just the NEED to know, etc everyone should always take a good look at the actual card itself anyway. BGS 9 and you also see a bit of white on the corner??? It's probably an 8.5 corner.
