Thanks for reminding me of this. I have done this two years in a row and well worth it. Works with a pre-paid T-Mobile phone as well. So no need of contracts.

Download their T-Mobile Tuesdays app if you haven’t already. Keeps ya up to date on rewards and claiming them, etc.

I was really tempted to switch over to T-mobile sole for the free mlb.tv subscription, but I've been using Straight Talk for about 3 years now & really don't have a single complaint. Think I'll just suck it up & fork out the 120 for a subscription.

Any idea how cheap it could be to get a prepaid T-Mobile phone solely for the purpose of getting an MLBtv subscription?

I pay about $50 a month for my pre-paid T-Mobile subscription and I think the Samsung Moto I bought about a year ago cost me $125.
I did it all thru Amazon. Bought the phone, signed up for Tmobile, than later downloaded T-Mobile Tuesdays app

My auto-renewal went through yesterday. Called MLB.tv customer service and they issued a refund so that I could take advantage of the T-Mobile promotion.

https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/mlb-2019

The four year extension TMobile signed ended in 2022.

Keep a lookout for any home run derby or little league World Series advertisements to see if TMobile shows up. If they do- great.

If the perk is released it would come on Tuesday, March 21st.
They now have MLS pass as a perk, but I’d rather watch paint dry.

The last mlb.tv promotional email link I received brings you to a dead page:

"Our deal for a free MLB.TV subscription has concluded for the year—and we delivered $122 million in value to our customers in one week. You may have missed out on free MLB.TV, but there are so many other reasons to switch. Join T-Mobile today and score more perks and benefits."

This year’s all star game is at T-Mobile park. So there’s hope.

You should also be able to get free Apple TV and Netflix. I think you may have missed the MLS pass but not that many care.

I got Paramount plus from it as well. Don't know if that has expired.

Didn't we have another thread where someone was adamant this wasn't happening this year because T-Mobile left up last year's webpage saying the program was over?

So glad it's back - been using it every year since they started the promo. They got wise in year 2 or 3 and made it tough to share / transfer.

I've bought accounts from T-Mo customers every year for $5. Most difficult they made it required you to make a throwaway MLB account for the T-Mo subscriber to activate for you (or you could trust them with your real MLB account). Never has been a problem sharing/selling accounts.

Plenty of forums/blogs out there with threads/comment sections to buy an account for a few bucks.

Any idea best route to try to get a refund?

We already signed up for it this year since we didn't think T Mobile would have it.

Reach out to them on Twitter. I know I saw a few responses regarding the same issue with the MLS pass. They'll work with you about getting the refund.

They implemented a back end check a couple of years ago - if you used the promo and used it from a non-T-Mobile mobile device they would eventually flag your account and shut down your subscription. Easy workaround was to just not use it on mobile. No idea if they're still doing this.

Was the back end check solely for mobile devices? Never had a problem on my computer or PS4

I have season tickets for the white sox, so they give me this free too. I usually take the T-Mobile offer and give the STH one to my brother.
