Default I'm gonna cave and get Instagram...how to go about it?

Just been hearing too many stories about the good card collecting community on there and don't wanna miss out on potential PC items! But how do I go about it?

At the moment I'm leaning towards having one for my cards and a separate one for me (which I'll probably use to follow all my friends but rarely post on because I legit despite pics of me. I think I've had 8 profile pictures on Facebook in 14 years haha). Does that make sense? Do others do it this way or just have one account for all of it?

Just looking for some opinions from those of you who are already on there. Thanks in advance

I have one for my personal and one for my cards (Spurs_Cards_). Helps to keep things separated.

Ive started one recently and plenty of collectors add me everyday. Most people don’t even have a personal photo on there I don’t. Just make your profile picture your favorite card and post other cards and your all set.

I keep it separate like I’m sure most people do. Just make a new one for the hobby.

Deer in headlights here myself. Will be eavesdropping on this thread.

Been contemplating this myself as things seem to be shifting away from ebay quite rapidly since the state sales tax implementation.

I follow pretty much only people who post cards. You can go to my IG (theluckyshow05) and follow a bunch of people I follow as a shortcut, then many of them will follow you.

How are most cards paid for doing sales on Instagram? Is there a feedback system or a way to know your dealing with someone legit?

I don't have an IG account either, but I was thinking of creating one for my cards (don't care to have one for my personal life). I have a Twitter that I use for my personal, card, Disney, everything. Following along on this.

Open one to post only your collection. I don't post often, but definitely have fun browsing others' cards/items.
I am about to open another one just to post the Kobe's that I acquired.

I was nervous to start. But after a few months, I wondered why I waited so long. I've made more deals on IG than ebay recently.

I've got two separate accounts, personal and then card related. I usually stay on my personal and then view my card account on the computer. Only downside to viewing it on the computer is I miss PM's people send. They are supposed to be fixing this so you can dm on the computer but I don't think it's rolled out yet.

See I'm noticing something similar, yet overall ebay has had almost NO bucks promotions all quarter as if they're just merrily skipping along unaffected...how??

I definitely am astounded by that. Guess I need to take the plunge!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, glad others have the two accounts. Seems to make the most sense to me. I'll probably make my personal one first and spend a week or so figuring out how to best navigate it, then buckunteer (hopefully my user name if somebody doesn't already have it haha) will come about!

Having a nice collection does not make you a celebrity. It’s ok to follow back

Been a blowout member for years, but I love Instagram more. So much easier to chat with everyone and have made over a dozen deals since I joined last July.

Hit me up on there! I've made many international deals through friends i've made on there that vouched for them.
