Default Could Coronavirus make autographs before the game impossible?

I know the NBA has told players not to interact with the fans so they don’t get sick, but could MLB players be next?

If people can’t get IP autos anymore, that makes autographed cards more expensive

Seriously? If this is a legitimate concern from health officials, we're going to have much bigger issues than not getting autographs before games.

Nobody buys IP autos, so this wouldn’t really be a relevant correlation.

Autographs before games will go down for the simple reason that most teams are extending the netting farther down the line now. The Royals are taking it all the way to the foul pole. Trout always signed by the dugout where there will now be a net.

Not when Topps is actively popping out hundreds of each player per year.

I understand nets but pole to pole is too much. At least leave a little space

Sometimes it’s the posts you don’t make that have the biggest impact.

Yesterday, I flew from Austin to Ft Myers with an hour layover in Atlanta... I think I counted 3 people wearing face masks out of the innumerable people I laid eyes on.

This could not be any further from the truth, there is a HUGE market for IP autographs.

Can I ask what in your opinion makes this "throwing away money" vs collecting pack pulled autographs?

The two have nothing to do with each other.

I’ll take that IP auto in your avatar over any of the 1000 or so autos I’ve ever pulled.

Per ESPN, it sounds like an advisory panel is suggesting the players not take anything from fans (pens, balls, etc) and to avoid handshakes. We shall see if this actually goes anywhere.

Wonder what the panel thinks about people exchanging money at concessions, etc.
