Default How are you resisting ripping?

So work is still keeping me busy. No traffic so I've gained an hour every day. Longmire and Contagion are occupying my time so far today.

But....its hard to resist.....

I can't send in anything to grade, and everything here is worth double to triple what i paid for it, so theres little financial incentive....but the temptation in boredom is very real....

Yah, bingo.

I'm at the point where it doesn't even make sense to sit on the 2018 Update I got at the lowest price possible if I'm not going to unload the unopened stuff.

Junk wax.....uuhhh I think I could resist the urge.

It’s 1981-1991. The first five years there aren’t insignificant.

What years are those white boxes? And what is under the 87 box?

Strangely I think the painful opposite: how much $$ I will lose in what comes out of the box if I rip it (and inveritably don’t bother to sell any cards)

Am not resisting ripping. Just waiting for the right price to buy. Then no regrets with the rips result.

once wax is ripped, it is gone forever (sans the bad actors)

Leave it be for sure! plus, its art as is!

Basically me. I do own some single packs just for the historic part of it but they are all slabbed and graded so they aren't easy to open.

I've opened 1 2018 HHN case, got another one in the corner I will open soon. Will also probably open my 18 Update hobby case eventually.

The 87 fleer and donruss boxes would be gone at my house. I loved those designs. Then again, any of those boxes would have been ripped by now, as unopened wax sitting around is no fun to me.

I opened 1 case of 2020 heritage last weekend & opened 2 cases today. My dining room table is stacked. My wife is fine with it too! I will be making sets to pass the time...

The best part about opening up cases like Heritage and Topps--if you grade-- is you get to throw away about 85% of the cards

Don't put that Topps junk on top of 86 and 87 Donruss!

After many years of trying to collect unopened, I finally am. I open a lot and have many other projects that distract me.

Opened a bunch of 2019 S2 today that I would have sat on a lot longer if I wasn’t locked up in the house. Still have a ton of it, hoping to resist on opening the rest. I’ve got some 17’ Update and 18’ HHN that probly won’t make it through next week. Desperate times, desperate measures.

Confident I won’t touch my 2018 update or 19-20’ Prizm basketball. Too special to open, riding those long term.

I wonder if this will have a real affect on wax if everyone is stuck in their houses for months.

I know what you mean when it comes to not opening wax. Here is one of my stacks.

What keeps me from ripping some of this is ripping something newer when I get the itch. That's what the other pile of boxes is for.

NOTE: NOTHING IS AVAILABLE FOR SALE/TRADE Just in case

Have the redemptions in the 18 HHN already expired?

I think it’s toward the end of this year.

I have 6 boxes. Who is a redemption?
