Fun fact: Andy Warhol already did this, creating an artwork of Pete Rose in the style of his 1985 Topps card, which is owned by the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Nice! Huge Warhol fan (obviously) and I've seen the Pete Rose before. His whole athletes series is amazing.
