Will not change anything this just changes the time they have once the return has been accepts. They usually give 10 and allow up to 21 anyway if the item was shipped in the 10 days.

They are also not counting defects against seller for late shipping right now either and any negs or other issues related to the virus issues is removable. They are also allowing sellers to push their April Payment to May and June.

Keep in mind right now not everyone has access to daily mail service. My parents right now are getting it 3 times a week right now and if they drive to their closest PO to mail something they could be forced to quarantine for 2 weeks since its in Louisiana and they are in Texas. The nearest PO besides that one is 23 miles one way.

I am curious if ebay makes money off of return shipping label costs since they do so much business through USPS? If this were the case, making it easier and more likely for returns is brilliant on their part.

For example if ebay gets a 25% discount for doing so much business with the USPS and they pass along 15% to the sellers. It would be a great way to pocket a nice sized chunk of change on promoting/forcing returns. I could be completely wrong but just a thought.

Yes they get a cut of it on all shipping paid through their system, same for Amazon, Mercari and PirateShip.. However the amount I have been billed in the past by Ebay has been less than the shipping cost to the buyer.

Its not just Ebay that forces the return all the major selling sites have similar deals in place and the Credit card mandates. Why people think its an Ebay thing only is beyond me. In the past year I have won more cases than lost with Ebay.
