Default Blowout 2020 All Time NFL Redraft

I have seen this done in the Baseball Section and the Basketball Section. To help pass the time by along with doing a 1st of this from what I have seen, I'd like to start up an all time redraft. This would consist of all current 32 NFL teams and the draft order would be randomized.

Here are the following teams along with the members:

1. Arizona Cardinals - mike1498
2. Atlanta Falcons - Siberian13
3. Baltimore Ravens - jswest18
4. Buffalo Bills - tyblain
5. Carolina Panthers - pensfan87893
6. Cincinnati Bengals - TPence1970
7. Chicago Bears - Jb55
8. Cleveland Browns - nefan
9. Dallas Cowboys - TheFrenzy
10. Denver Broncos - sondersuns
11. Detroit Lions - cbus07
12. Green Bay Packers - todderfield
13. Houston Texans - meandsharon11
14. Indianapolis Colts - 88horsepower
15. Kansas City Chiefs - Earlsnake07
16. Las Vegas Raiders - Archangel1775
17. Los Angeles Chargers - 56LightsOut56
18. Los Angeles Rams - KaPluie
19. Jacksonville Jaguars - bamafan3559
20. Miami Dolphins - Viking6
21. Minnesota Vikings - SkolVikesCards
22. New England Patriots - Kingofkings1281
23. New Orleans Saints - DUCKanay
24. New York Giants - redboxer27
25. New York Jets - Cornerstore
26. Philadelphia Eagles - the mesiah
27. San Francisco 49er's - FBallHobbies
28. Seattle Seahawks - GoHawks25
29. Pittsburgh Steelers - AlexHunter
30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - dwjthemark
31. Tennessee Titans - foleylion08
32. Washington Redskins - Cavaliercards

ROSTER SIZE- We will do a 25 round draft. The first few rounds should fly by, but the later we go, the deeper we need to reach in to find players. There will be 25 positions to fill, which includes special teams. I'd thought this would make things interesting seeing how well we all know our punters and kickers. Some players do play multiple positions, so when you draft that player, make sure you list what position he is playing.

The will be the roster layout is open for a few options, on offense or defense. You can choose to go run heavy and have extra Tight Ends, or a spread offense and run 5 WR's. I really want to see strategy in with the drafting. Same goes for the defense, you can do a 4-3, 3-4, 4-6. However you decide to put your team together, as long as the positions are filled for all 11 starters on offense and defense.

Special teams is simple: 1 Kicker, 1 Punter and 1 Return Man.

I emphasize for you to set up your team how you want to. Football is different than Baseball and Basketball. There are set positions in those sports where football you can get creative.

DRAFT - Once the list is full, a mod will randomize the order. This will be done snake style. In something like this, middle of the pact is better than first or last. Whoever gets the #1 pick will start and end the draft.

I urge anyone that joins please please please be active.

We will use a 12 hour time clock for picks.

And we will use the same format to draft as the Baseball thread, since it is easier to read.

Size 5, bold, and red

1.1 San Fransisco 49ers - Ryan Leaf

VOTING- This will be done by a 32 team, elimination style bracket. The match-ups would be randomized where they go in the bracket and we would proceed to run through the bracket. There will be a time slot for people to make their votes on the teams.

Once the voting process is done, which ever team wins overall, I will include a special prize for the winner. It will be a $100 Ebay Gift Card or $100 Blowout Gift card, which ever the winner decides.

Note - No trades/drops of players or picks. Wherever you draft is penciled in.

Just remember that the voting process will include the votes of Blowout Members. So when building your team, you can either cater to the voters likes since a handful of them may not know a few of the names on your team or listen to your heart and draft what you think is the best All Time Team.

I strongly encourage both, a mix of old stars to current stars. But like I said, draft how you seems fit. I personally like the idea of drafting the best at the position, regardless of era. If I could draft Uncle Rico at QB, I sure would. Unfortunately, he did not play in the NFL

Since this will go through the 2020 NFL Draft, you can include this year's prospects for your team

PLEASE READ OVER THE RULES BEFORE JOINING. I WANT EVERYONE ON THE SAME PAGE AND MAKE THIS AS FUN AS POSSIBLE

I’ll draft for the Seahawks. Looks like a lot of fun

Note: If you don't want to read everything I wrote (I don't blame you, there's a lot), at a minimum, please just read/skim the Team Highlights section and watch footage of Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, Neil Smith, Greg Lloyd, Zach Thomas and Everson Walls picking off Joe Montana while covering Jerry Rice.

Team Highlights:
-According to PFR, I have the best defense!
-4 players on the NFL’s Top 100 (2010) list. All of which are ranked 50 and under: Terry Bradshaw, Rod Woodson, Raymond Berry and Bruce Smith. The #1 defense and 2 of the top 50 players of all-time on offense!
-2 NFL MVP’s on offense, 1 OPOY.
-1 of 2 LT’s to be featured on 2 all-decade teams. The best LT for a 20 year span! 80s and 90s.
-6 DPOY awards. At least 1 per level of the defense. 3 on the defensive line, 1 in the linebacker group, and 2 in the secondary.
-Tall secondary—Rod Woodson, arguably the greatest CB of all-time is my shortest player in the secondary at 6’0”. My CB opposite of Woodson is 6'1" Everson Walls who is the only CB to lead the NFL in interceptions 3 times (non higher), HOF'er Kenny Easley is 6'3" and 80s All-Decade FS Nolan Cromwell is 6'1".
-Tall wideouts—Herman Moore is 1 of 3 WR’s being 6’4” or taller with multiple First Team All-Pros. Dez Bryant and Raymond Berry are both 6’2”.
-Don't let Raymond Berry's 50s and 60s era be a negative. There are 12 WR’s to put up 600+ receptions, 66+ TD’s, 14.5+ yards per reception. Only 2 players from pre 1976. He was retired for 10 years before the rookie season of a player to meet those stats began (Steve Largent and James Lofton). After that, the other 8 WR's to meet those requirements all played at least 1 season in the year 2000 or later.
-8 HOF’ers. 2 on the defensive line, 2 in the secondary. HOF QB, RB, WR and LT. 6 of my 8 HOF'ers played from 1980 and beyond. Modern size/skills/athletes.
-5 Player's on Bleacher Reports best players not in the HOF (Nolan Cromwell FS, Neil Smith DE, Randy Gradishar LB, Zach Thomas LB, Greg Lloyd LB)
-According to NFL.com, the top 7 most important positions in football are... QB, DE, LT, CB, WR, DT and RB in that order. 7 of my 8 HOF’ers are the most important positions in football.
-12 Super Bowl rings. Most importantly, 4 at the QB position.
-14 All-Decade Players.
-3 100th Anniversary Team Players.
-2 75th Anniversary Team Players.
-5 of my defenders are top 8 at their position of All-Time (PFR). A top 8 defender at every level of the defense (2 on the defensive line, 1 linebacker, and 2 in the secondary)
-66 First Team All-Pros.
-33 Second Team All-Pros.
-127 Pro-Bowls.
-545.5 Sacks.
-254 Interceptions.
-168 Forced Fumbles (4 players have 0 because they played in an era they weren’t kept track of. This number is most likely closer to 200).
-If you don’t remember 90s football you will probably not love my team as much as I do! My team is full of 90s All-Decade players, 2 on offense and 4 on the defense. Basically the 2010s version of having better HOF version of LeSean McCoy, Tyrone Smith but better, JJ Watt, Calais Campbell, Ndamukong Suh but better, and Darrelle Revis but better on defense. I love it

Roster:

OFFENSE I drafted an extremely versatile offense. My WR trio all offer different skill sets. Herman Moore is my 6'4" strong/tall just throw-it-up to him over everybody else receiver and he'll come down with it (and is still a beast after the catch, NOT just a one trick pony), Dez Bryant is my physical/explosive yards after catch/big playmaker, modern tip toe catches wide receiver, and Raymond Berry is one of the most reliable pass catcher of all-time with great route running abilities. HOF/MVP RB Thurman Thomas is extremely versatile as well—10th all-time yards from scrimmage. Thurman Thomas led the league for 4 consecutive seasons in yards from scrimmage. He's 1 of 5 RB’s with 12000+ rushing yards and 4000+ receiving yards. He can lineup as a 4th WR for an empty set formation, as he did often in his career. BIG TE. Nearly 260lbs, Keith Jackson is tied for 5th most All-Pros of all-time for a TE. Great run blocker, strong with the ball in his hands. It's going to take more than one tackler to take him down, and he's great red zone threat with 10 receiving TD’s in 1996. When people think of Terry Bradshaw, they likely don't think of his football play. But HOF/MVP, 4x Super Bowl Champion Terry Bradshaw was not only a true NFL winner, threw for 200+ passing TD's, but he was a great scrambling QB. He is tied for 13th all-time in QB rushing touchdowns (only 4 ahead of him are also HOF'ers), and he's 25th all-time in QB rushing yards (6 ahead of him are HOF'ers—2 of which played in the 50s). None ahead of him in either category has 4 Super Bowls rings either The most successful scrambling QB? Probably so. My offensive line is quite versatile as well. Chris Hinton is the only lineman with Pro-Bowls at 4 different positions on the offensive line (LT, LG, RG, RT). Not only are they versatile, but my offensive line has great size. With a HOF'er Gary Zimmerman at LT (1 of 2 LT's to be on two all-decade teams) being the best member of the offensive line, while each other position has a minimum of 3 Pro-Bowls and at least 2 First Team All-Pros. I went defense heavy in the draft, so if my offense excites you in anyway, I think I may have one of the top teams drafted.

QB: Terry Bradshaw—3x Pro-Bowls, 1x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, 4x Super Bowl Champion, 2x Super Bowl MVP, NFL Most Valuable Player (1978), 1970s NFL All-Decade Team, 2x Passing TD’s Leader, Inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1989. One of three QB’s to have 200+ passing TD’s, 100+ wins and 30+ rushing TD’s. Of those three he did it in the fewest years. Is tied for 2nd most Super Bowl wins with 4. Only Brady exceeds him and he is tied with Montana at 4. Starr had 5, but only 2 are consider “Super Bowls” the other 3 are “NFL Championships”. PFR 13th Ranked QB of All-Time. (15th Round)

RB: Thurman Thomas—5x Pro Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, 3x Second Team All-Pro, NFL Most Valuable Player Award (1991), NFL Offensive Player of the Year, 1990s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2007. 12th All-Time in Yards from Scrimmage (10th All-Time for a RB). Led the NFL in yards from scrimmage for 4 consecutive seasons. PFR 13th Ranked RB of All-Time. (8th Round)

WR: Raymond Berry—6x Pro Bowls, 4x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, 2x NFL Champion, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, 1950s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 1973. At 6'2", Berry is a 3x Receiving Yards Leader, 3x Receptions Leader, 2x Receiving TD Leader. Revolutionized the Wide Receiver Position. "The Greatest Game Ever Played" Berry caught 12 passes for 174 yards and a TD. PFR 24th Ranked WR of All-Time. (7th Round)

WR: Herman Moore—4x Pro Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, 2x Reception Leader, 6’4” (missed NFL 1990s All-Decade Team despite having the same amount of First Team All-Pros as 3 WR’s chosen ahead of him COMBINED—Irvin, Brown and Carter COMBINED for 3x All-Pros, Moore had 3 All-Pros alone without a noteworthy QB), did I mention he’s 6’4”! Moore is one of 3 WR’s who are 6’4” or taller with multiple All-Pros (Randy Moss & Calvin Johnson being the other 2). PFR 63rd Ranked WR of All-Time. (13th Round)

WR: Dez Bryant—3x Pro-Bowls, 1x First Team All-Pro, 1x NFL Receiving TD Leader (2014), Over a 3 year span, Dez Bryant averaged 91 receptions, 1312 Receiving Yards, and 14 Receiving TD’s a season. Dez Bryant is 1 of 2 6’2” or taller WR's with 70+ TD’s, 7000+ Receiving Yards, and doing it in 9 years or fewer (Calvin Johnson being the other). He’s also 1 of 40 WR’s with 70+ Receiving TD’s and 7000+ Receiving Yards—and he did it in the fewest seasons out of all 40. PFR 106th Ranked WR of All-Time, but I think we can all agree that sounds far too low. Truly a dominant WR not long ago. (18th Round)

TE: Keith Jackson—5x Pro-Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, 1x Super Bowl Champion (XXXI), This is a weird (maybe useless) stat. Keith Jackson if one of 4 TE's with 3+ All-Pros, 45+ TD's, 5000+ yards and being 250lbs+. Jackson had a 10 TD season being the ideal big red zone TE target any QB can look for. Athlonsports describes Jackson as "Probably the most complete tight end in history." He could run block with his size, being larger than any LB and not too far behind the size of DE's. Keith Jackson is tied for 5th most All-Pros of all-time for a TE. PFR 26th Ranked TE of All-Time. (16th Round)

LT: Gary Zimmerman—7x Pro Bowls, 5x First Team All-Pro, 3x Second Team All-Pro, Super Bowl Champion (XXXII), NFL 1980s All-Decade Team, 1990s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2008. Zimmerman is 1 of 2 offensive tackles to be featured on two All-Decade Teams (the best left tackle for a 20 year span! Not as popular as some of the other left tackles, but he was just as good, if not better). PFR 7th Ranked OT of All-Time. (4th Round)

LG: Bill Fralic—4x Pro-Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, 1980s All-Decade Team. Fralic is 2 of 10 1980s All-Decade Team Offensive Lineman NOT in the HOF. HOF worthy? Absolutely, perhaps longevity was the only thing holding him back playing just 9 seasons. Led the Lions running attack which gave Barry Sanders a 100+ yards a game average in 1993. Also helped the Falcons to the 3rd best rushing team in 1985 and 1986, 5th in points per game and 6th in passing yards per game 1991, 4th in passing yards in 1992. PFR 35th Ranked G of All-Time. (21st Round)

C: Kent Hull—3x Pro-Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, starting Center for 19 Playoff games, 4 Super Bowls, blocked for a 4x Yards from Scrimmage leader who also happens to be my RB Thurman Thomas, led the 1991 Bills to leading the league in yards. Kent Hull is 1 of 11 guards with 2+ First Team All-Pros, 3+ Pro-Bowls, and 100+ Approximate Value (PFR stats that puts a value to the seasonal value of a player), did it in the fewest seasons of the 11, 7 of the 11 on the list are HOF’ers. PFR 17th ranked C of All-Time. (20 Round)

RG: Chris Hinton—7x Pro-Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, 3x Second Team All-Pro, 6’4” 300lbs playing the majority of his career in the 80s, his size was big for his era, and still is big by today’s NFL standards. He’s the only offensive lineman I am aware of to be featured as a Pro-Bowler at 4 different positions on the offensive line (all but center). 1 of 11 G's to have 7+ Pro-Bowls at 300lbs. PFR 36th Ranked OT of All-Time. (17th Round)

RT: Lincoln Kennedy—3x Pro-Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, was named the Tuesday Morning Quarterback non-QB non-RB 2002 NFL MVP (usually given to the QB's best friends, the lineman. Essentially the best lineman in 2002). 6'6" 335lbs, Lincoln Kennedy not only has a very presidential sounding name, but he is an absolute house! PFR 50th Ranked OT of All-Time. (22nd Round)

DEFENSE Defense wins championships! I went defense heavy. 10 out of my 14 first picks were on the defense. My plan was to have one of the strongest defensive lines and secondaries, paired with linebackers that stuff the run. The idea is to get QB pressure on every play with all-time sack leader Bruce Smith, and 100+ sack man 1990s All-Decade Team Neil Smith (4 consecutive double digit sack seasons) on the edges AND HOF'er Cortez Kennedy getting pressure up the middle and being one of the best run stuffers of all-time. My elite secondary has shutdown corner and HOF'er Rod Woodson, and 6'3" HOF'er Kenny Easely at SS. Everson Walls is the only CB to lead the NFL in interceptions 3 times, and he is 6'1", giving him an advantage over other teams short WR's. Nolan Cromwell isn't really a household name, but he's one of the top rated FS's of all-time. He was on the 1980s All-Decade Team, 3x First Team All-Pro, and according to John Turney (a Pro Football Journal writer) he's the 12th best safety of all-time and in his prime was "Just as good as Ed Reed." He also has the most punt blocks in Rams history, and he's one of the best FG fake placekick holders ever. In case my HOF defensive line didn't already stop the run, my 3 linebackers are all hard hitting, quick, instinctual tackling machines. Gradishar averaged nearly 250 tackles a season, and Zach Thomas over 150 tackles a season, while Greg Lloyd was one of the most feared linebackers of the 90s. Greg Lloyd is the only true OLB to record 50+ sacks, 35+ forced fumbles and 10+ interceptions. He was truly a difference maker on defense.

DE: Bruce Smith—11x Pro Bowls, 8x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, 2x NFL Defensive Player of the Year, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, 1980s NFL All-Decade Team, 1990s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2009. All-Time sack leader with 200. 1 of 2 DE's with 8 All-Pros. Has more sacks (200), forced fumbles (43), tackles for loss (41—this stat was only kept for the last few years of his career), and tackles (combined (1224), solo (426) and assists (149). Solo and assist were only kept for his last 10 years, not the front 9) than the other. PFR 2nd Ranked DE of All-Time. (1st Round)

DE: Neil Smith—6x Pro Bowls, 1x First Team All-Pro, 3x Second Team All-Pro, 1990s All-Decade Team. 104.5 career sacks (he played in the league while Reggie White, Bruce Smith, and Chris Doleman were his peers at DE, so he often gets overlooked during this era, but he was an absolute maniac on the field). 1 of 5 DE's at 270+lbs, 100+ sacks, 30+ forced fumbles, and did it in the fewest number of games by 19. PFR 18th Ranked DE of All-Time. (10th Round)

DT: Cortez Kennedy—8x Pro Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, 1x NFL Defensive Player of the Year, (1992) 1990s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2012. In 1992 Kennedy recorded 14 sacks and 4 forced fumbles and was awarded DPOY despite having a team record of 2-14. Bleacher report lists him as the 6th best defensive tackle of All-Time, and had he been on a playoff/championship winning team, I have no doubt he'd be ranked even higher. 1 of 1 DT's being 300+ lbs, 50+ sacks, 650+ tackles. PFR 8th Ranked DT if All-Time. (3rd Round)

DT: Michael Dean Perry—6x Pro-Bowls, 2x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, 1989 AFC Defensive Player of the Year. Michael Dean Perry is 1 of 6 DT's to record 60+ sacks, 10+ Forced Fumbles, 500+ tackles with at least 2 All-Pro, and did it in the fewest games by 33. Over 2 seasons worth of fewer games! PFR 27th Ranked DT of All-Time. (19th Round)

LOLB: Randy Gradishar—7x Pro Bowls, 6x First Team All-Pro, NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1978). Gradishar averaged 246.5 tackles a season. To put that in perspective, Bobby Wagner led the NFL in tackles in 2019 with 159. Gradishar has a career average of 15.4 tackles a game, or 246.5 tackles a season over his career. Although he's typically an ILB in a 3-4 defense, he's 6'3" 233lbs and is lighting quick. He will be playing as my Sam (strong side) Linebacker being responsible for covering your TE's (20 career interceptions) as well as being a complete difference maker in the run game. A star member of the "Orange Crush" Denver Broncos defense that allowed just 10.6 points per game. PFR 12th Ranked ILB of All-Time. (9th Round)

MLB: Zach Thomas—7x Pro Bowls, 5x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, 2000s NFL All-Decade Team. Zach Thomas will be my MLB, and like Gradishar, he is a tackling machine. Having a career average of 152 tackles a season is just absurd, especially considering the era he played in. Standing at 5'11" 244lbs, he will be a stout run stuffer in the middle, as well as being the defensive leader every team needs. 1 of 4 ILB's with 1700+ tackles, 15+ interceptions, 20+ sacks and did it in 44+ fewer games than the other 3. 2 of the other 3 are HOF’ers Ray Lewis and Junior Seau. 7th Ranked ILB of All-Time. (6th Round)

ROLB: Greg Lloyd Sr.—5x Pro Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, 6’2” 228lbs, One of Two OLB’s With 50+ Sacks, 35+ Forced Fumbles and 10+ Interceptions. The Other Player is Julius Peppers who only played OLB for 3 seasons—so I don’t like to count him PFR 29th Ranked OLB of All-Time. (14th Round)

CB: Rod Woodson—11x Pro Bowls, 6x First Team All-Pro, 2x Second Team All-Pro, Super Bowl Champion (XXXV), 1x NFL Defensive Player of the Year, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, 1990s NFL All-Decade Team, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2009. 3rd All-Time Interception Leader (#1 for a CB), although he’s the shortest player in my secondary, he certainly didn’t play small at 6’0”. 1 of 1 DB's (CB's and SS/FS's combined) to have 70+ interceptions and 1000+ tackles. PFR 1st Ranked DB of All-Time. (2nd Round)

CB: Everson Walls—4x Pro Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, Super Bowl Champion (XXV), 3x NFL Interception Leader, 57 career Interceptions (6th All-Time for CB), 6’1”, led the NFL in Interceptions 3 times (only other player to do so was Ed Reed. Walls is the only CB to do it). PFR 57th Ranked DB (31st Cornerback) of All-Time. (11th Round)

FS: Nolan Cromwell—4x Pro Bowls, 3x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, Super Bowl Champion (Coach-XXXI), 1980s All-Decade Team. 6’1”, Gil Brandt’s 29th ranked Safety (19th ranked Free Safety), John Turney’s 12th best Safety of all-time. 1 of 8 FS's with 35+ interceptions, 3+ All-Pros, 6'1" or taller. Cromwell is 1 of 2 of the 8 that are not in the HOF. PFR 58th Ranked DB (27th Safety) of All-Time. (12th Round)

SS: Kenny Easley—5x Pro Bowls, 4x First Team All-Pro, 1x Second Team All-Pro, 1x NFL Defensive Player of the Year, 1980s All-Decade Team, 6’3”, Inducted into the NFL HOF in 2017. 1 of 2 players to be inducted into the HOF with just 8 NFL seasons (And played 11 games or fewer 3 of his 8 seasons. An insanely productive player to put together a HOF career in 87 games started, which totals 5 full seasons and 4 games worth of playing time.) PFR 10th Ranked DB (7th Safety) of All-Time. (5th Round)

SPECIAL TEAMS

KR: Jacoby Jones—1x Pro-Bowl, 1x First Team All-Pro (as a kick returner), SB Champion (XLVII), 3 Super Bowl Records. Longest Play (108 yards), Longest Kickoff Return (108 yards), Most all-purpose yards (288 yards). Iconic Super Bowl Kickoff return TD (1 of 10 to do so), 12th all-time in yards per kick return average (27 yards a return), 5 kick return TD's (2 108 yard returns). (Round 24)

P: Tress Way—1x Pro-Bowl, 1x Second Team All-Pro. Trees Way is the 6th best punter of All-Time if the only stat that you look at is yards per punt average. If on average, my punter is the 6th best at punting it the furthest, I’m not sure what else there is to look at Career long of 79 yards, ave 46.6 yards per punt, 162 punts inside the 20. (Round 25)

K: Greg Zuerlein—1x Pro-Bowl, 1x First Team All-Pro. Has the leg with a career long of 61 yards and has the accuracy at 82%. Zuerlein is 1 of 4 Kickers to have 1+ All-Pro, 82%+ FG Percentage with a long of 60+ yards. What more needs to be said!? Plus his career likely isn't even half over yet (Round 23)

I’m sorry I don’t quite understand, but it’s like a fantasy football draft correct? But you can draft players from any era?

I’ll take the Vikes

Offense:

My offensive scheme is simple, air raid, spread the ball around passing attack. I have 3 elite WRs including 2 Hall of Famers and a total of 15 Pro Bowls. To go with these legendary targets, I have the deep-threat TE, Dallas Clark, who averaged more than 10 yards per reception in his career. Captaining my offense is the Hall of Fame QB, Kurt Warner. Warner won 2 MVP awards along with being invited to 4 Pro Bowls. At running back, I have the very versatile Eddie George. George is able to catch passes out of the backfield along with being a storing runner, winning the Heisman in college alongside 4 Pro Bowls in the NFL. My O-Line is also solid with players at the top of their position groups in the present day NFL. While the Buccaneers defense is good, they don’t have the personnel to line up against my scheme. Their 2 corner, 2 safety look can not match up with my receivers. Randy Moss alone demands a double-team, leaving one of my other receivers matched up on a LB.

Defense:

My defensive style is a standard nickel scheme with 3 corners and 2 safeties that play overtop, occasionally creeping into the box. For my defensive line, I have brought back half of the daunting Purple People Eaters in DE Jim Marshall and DT Carl Eller. I’ve paired these 2 with 3x Pro Bowler Jevon Kearse and Super Bowl Champion Jason Pierre-Paul who still plays at a high level. In the center of my defense I have the Hall of Famer Junior Seau who went to an amazing 12 Pro Bowls, was selected to the All-Pro team 10 times and was named to the NFL 100th Anniversary Team. Seau’s sidekick is the hard-hitting Ryan Shazier. In his brief career, Shazier went to the Pro Bowl 2 out of his 4 seasons he played. For my cornerbacks, I have some seasoned veterans in Cromarite, Hayward and Minnifield. This trio has combined for a total of 74 interceptions and 10 Pro Bowls throughout their careers. Finishing off my D, the hard-hitting duo of Jamal Adams and Brian Dawkins. These 2 combine for 81 total turnovers and 11 Pro Bowl selections. My defense has the advantage over the Bucs as Heyward and Cromartie should be able to run man to man with his wideouts. My safeties will be able to cover Davis along and can help put overtop if needed.

I recommend cutting the rounds down, maybe 18-20 rounds and filling in remaining positions via a free agent pickup. First come first serve at the end(no editing those posts) or just draft back with remaining players to fill the roster spots.

5-8 drafted picks for OL/DL/LB is rough. The last draft died at the end and never got to voting.

Would like to keep it as such. I wanna want to see everyone's football knowledge. With the shortage of known lineman compared to skill position players, we will get to see people draft strategies

If no one claims them, I’d be happy to draft for any of the other NFC East teams.

I swear I wouldn’t draft scrubs and tank them..................too badly.

I’m open to trading my first 3 picks for JaMarcus Russell just to keep it real

If this is open to anyone I will take the Texans

Offense:

Quarterback: Deshaun Watson

Running back: Jim Brown

Full Back: William Perry

Tight End: Alge Crumpler

Wide Receiver:

X receiver - Cris Carter

Z receiver - DeAndre Hopkins

Offensive Tackle:

Mike Kenn LT

Bob St Clair RT

Offensive Guard:
Richie Incognito RG
Dave Szott LG

Center: Matt Birk

Defense:

Defensive Tackle:

Pat Williams LDT

Ray Childress RDT

Defensive End:

Chester McGlockton LDE

Roger Brown RDE

Inside Linebacker: Jaylon Smith

Outside Linebacker:

Weak OLB Bobby Bell

Strong OLB Ted Hendricks

Outside Cornerback:

RCB Emmitt Thomas

LCB Albert Lewis

Slot Cornerback: DeAngelo Hall

Safety: Ken Houston

Special Teams:

Kicker: Rob Bironas

Punter: Matt Turk

Kick/Punt Returner: Eric Metcalf

My offense:

I built this for running the ball, and giving Jim Brown as much room as possible. My right guard and tackle are strictly for power blocking as well as my center is larger in stature than most, and of course the refrigerator Perry is the biggest person to play as a blocking full back. The left side of my offensive line is good enough to block pass rushers for a short period of time, but I know they won’t hold for long, so that’s why I have Deshaun Watson as quarterback. He is at his best when he’s on the move. My tight end is 6”2 300 lbs, and was an excellent blocker plus a very reliable target with surprisingly quick feet to keep the passing threat but add another blocker. My wide receivers are mainly for holding the cornerbacks honest so they don’t help in the run game, and also as possession receivers to help keep the ball moving downfield.

My defense:

My defense is pretty direct. My defensive line is almost exclusively run blocking specialists. My middle linebacker is excellent in run support from sideline to sideline. My outside linebackers are big, athletic and physical that can cover tight ends but also rush the quarterback very effectively. My secondary is designed of man cover cornerbacks with speed and physicality and a tall athletic physical safety to cover the back end of the field.

My special teams:

Eric Metcalf was the best return man as far as records are concerned, until guys like Dante Hall and Devin Hester came in.

Matt Turk had a booming leg and could punt the ball 70 yards

Rob Bironas is top 5 all time on deep field goal percentage (50+ yards) and was a great clutch kicker; which I feel I would need since my main strength is running the ball.
