Default Shipping without a printer

Hey All

Super newbie question, but I was just wondering the best way to ship without having a printer at home.

I am tidying up my apartment, and have maybe 20-50 cards I'd like to sell to just clean up (probably would be sold in lots no bigger than 3-5 cards). None of them are expensive, but I don't think I would plain white envelope any of them.

If someone wouldn't mind could they explaining how I can still get the printing label without having a printer so I can send the items out (or if I am allowed to just hand write the info on a 5x7 bubble mailer and bring it to the USPS to be weighed and shipped) Id appreciate it.

YOu can write it and carry it to PO but postage is more through the PO than online.

You can also use the kiosk that some PO's have that will print a label but like Shrevecity mentioned it will cost more than paying online..

Thanks for the tips guys.

When I get the shipping label from Ebay do I just download it to my computer? I could email the file to my work computer if that's the case.

Also when you put shipping cost in the listing are you basically just approximating what it will cost, then when it sells and you put in all the weight info and how you'd want to ship it, then it gives you the real price its going to cost?

You can ship several cards for less than 4 ounces the lowest rate is 1-4 ounces so a single card or graded item will come in that range. Other items you sell long enough you know pretty much what its going to costs and if FR boxes will be the better choice for shipping. I rarely ever use a scale for any shipping anymore I have done it for so long.

Yeah I can't imagine I will ever need to use a flat rate box for what im shipping. its more just a couple cards here and there of people I don't collect anymore, and I figure top loaders and small bubble mailers will be enough.

I just wasn't sure if your are supposed to put like, 1.99 shipping, and then it turns out shipping is like 2.50 and its like okay whatever.

Minimum shipping cost for a card with tracking in a bubble mailer is 2.78 at home or I think its 3.30 at the PO depending on where it is going. That will cover most cards in bubble mailers.

I would list your items with free shipping and then just factor in the shipping cost with your asking price. A lot of people will skip cards without free shipping, even if the combined price is a bit higher. Probably a psychological thing.

Not from what I have seen.

As a buyer when I buy I figure the shipping price into the amount I want to pay so it does not matter if its free shipping or not to me. Most buyers do the same thing.

Free shipping is a scam especially if you are wanting to buy multiple items from the same seller.
