Ebay return question

Lets say I buy an item, item is defective so I request a return, seller accepts and I print the return label but the package is lost by USPS on its way to seller, do I still get my refund or am I out of luck?

If you actually can prove you shipped it ebay will likely cover the refund. If it never shows accepted then you may end up SOL
