Default Quarantine Fun: If Value Didn't Matter, What 10 Cards Would You Own?

Hi all, I hope everyone is staying healthy, safe and comfortable during this wild time. I know there have been similar threads in the past but I wanted to do a fun exercise on what your 10 card PC would be if every card was worth the same amount. Meaning, regardless of current value, what cards and designs do you like best or have the most meaning to you. Some of them could be extremely expensive, some of them might be $1-$5 cards currently.

Here are my ten:

1997 Green PMG of Allen Iverson: I love this set not because of the explosion in value but I just genuinely love this set. AI is one of my all time favorite players and this is my favorite card of his

1994 Select Rookie Surge Manny Ramirez One of my all-time favorite cards, one that I currently own. They are very inexpensive but it speaks directly to my inner child, this is one of the first cards I ever chased.

2007-08 UD Chronology LeBron James Patch Auto Obviously a much higher end LBJ by today's numbers but probably my favorite design of any LeBron card. Great action shot, bold auto and nice patch/foil work.

2012-13 Panini Preferred Kobe Bryant Prime Silhouette this has a lot more to do with the set than anything. I absolutely love this set and if I had to pick one player from the set it would be Kobe. Iconic.

2012-13 Panini Prizm Gold Paul George It has a lot to do with the set, but PG is one of my absolute all time favorite players, so this only makes sense.

2003-04 UD Exquisite Noble Nameplates Reggie Miller Sorry to promote buy nice cards, but this was the only reasonably sized picture available. Reggie was my first favorite player and this is my favorite card of his.

2009-10 UD Exquisite Rookie Patch Flashback Michael Jordan I know its ironic since the LBJ RPA wasnt my pick, but I just like this so much better. A better action shot and I love Jordan autos featuring pictures of him when he was young. Trying to keep pics relatively the same size so apologize for not posting a better version lol

1993 Topps Finest Refractor Barry Bonds Barry Bonds is in my mind the greatest baseball player of all time and this is my favorite card of his, really taps into my nostalgia.

1994-95 Fleer Young Lions Alonzo Mourning I always thought this was one of the coolest designs growing up. Through an adults eyes its pretty corny but I still love it haha

2014 Immaculate Dan Marino Patch Auto My favorite football player ever, and his best patch auto IMO.

Magic/Bird Topps
Jordan Fleer
Kobe Chrome
Duncan Chrome
LeBron Chrome
Shaquille Upper Deck
Barkley Fleer
Price Fleer
Olajuwon Fleer
David Robinson Hoops

Assuming value doesn't matter. Those are probably 10 most iconic cards, to me, at my age.

I just don't care enough the young guys yet and there were other players (Karl Malone compared to Olajuwon as an example) that I just didn't care for

Basketball only obviously

Boxes used to be $25 and I would save up a month's worth of money for cutting the grass to try to pull one haha. I believe I pulled Chan Ho Park and Klesko, had to buy it on ebay for $3 as an adult.

Loving everyones lists so far!

YES!! This is the one. Would be great to receive it but I live in Spain now so shipping would be too high for a gift card. I will get in touch when this crisis is over and I can travel to the US again...
I can maybe help you too: I have a Rookie Surge (sample) since the 90s but I don't collect baseball. Not sure of the player though. I can ship to you if you wish.

I’ve shipped to Spain plenty of times, it’s not too costly. PM me your address and I’ll get it sent your way!

Loving the diverse lists everyone’s been sharing, pretty cool to read. If you have a unique card on your list, please share a picture

My picks would probably change on any given night but here's what I knocked up off the top of my head. A mixture of history, eye appeal and autos. Also I couldn't decide on the tenth card so just gave up ha.

That MJ Gold embossed refractor!!! I know he has more valuable inserts.. but that set is so damn rare and literally had everything (gold, embossed,Atomic refractor, #'d, Die cut) This was the Rolls Royce of the 90's inserts. As a kid the amount of reverence I had for this set was crazy... I would never be able to afford one and pulling one of these was soo astronomically rare. You hear everyone always talk about PMG and other inserts from the 90's, seems like people over look this set sometimes.

Favorite card from a recent product just because it's from Kobe's last all-star game and the red on red looks beautiful. Super underrated card I hope to pick up soon if I find one that's decently priced.

Hmm that's tough. It's hard to forget about the monetary value and pick on aesthetics only because the prices are hardwired into my brain.
If i could pick 10 right now this is what i would go with though.

Bird/Magic
Jordan Fleer
Wilt
LeBron Exquisite
Luka NT
Kobe Refractor
Jordan PMG
Steph NT
Giannis NT
Tatum NT

A few off the top of my head. All of these are out of my league but 1 can always dream .

1 - Lou Williams SP Authentic Auto Logoman RC - I still have yet to see this card but it is the 1 card I would love to add to my Lou PC. If I ever come across it I will likely do anything I can to obtain it.
2 - T-Mac Autographics RC /100 - although there are many cards I would like to add to my T-Mac PC this is by far #1
3 - T-Mac/Duncan Stadium Club co-signers - I have never collected Duncan but with them being from same draft class this card has always appealed to me
4 - MJ, Kobe, or Lebron Logoman - who wouldn't want 1
5 - MJ auto - have always regretted selling the couple I have had in the past and unfortunately with the price hike, will probably never own another
6 - Lebron auto - see above
7 - Kobe Topps chrome Refractor RC - iconic card of 1 of my favorite players of all-time
8 - Lebron Topps Chrome Refractor RC - never been a huge fan of Lebron (partially due to being a Kobe fan, lol) but such an iconic card
9 - a rare T-Mac RC for the PC (PMG, finale, rubies)
10 - 1 football card - Randy Moss / Jerry Rice dual auto (either co-signers or passing the torch as Moss would have to be in Vikings uniform) - although I enjoy watching football as much as basketball I have never collected football - Moss and Rice are by far my favorite players of all-time though and would love to add a dual auto of them to the PC eventually.
