Default Wrong Card Purchased...Seller Doesn't Accept Returns

I was in the middle of buying several of the same chrome cards off of different sellers on eBay when I put in an offer on a card and it was accepted immediately. I received the card today, when I realized that I ordered the wrong version. I ordered the base card instead of the chrome. Its an obvious mistake when you look at it. Chrome cards are around $2300. Base cards are around $1300. I reached out to the seller and they said that they don't accept returns (which is also stated on their auction) and that I was just stuck with the card. I then started a return process w/ eBay & opened a case. The case was then closed within minutes. Ive always heard horror stories from sellers about eBay always siding with the buyers. And that stating that you do not accept returns doesnt actually matter. What do I do now? Thanks in advance for the help.

Was the card advertised as a Chrome card? i.e. "item not as described"?

No it wasn’t described as a chrome card. He had it described correctly. It’s truly my mistake.

I think you're stuck and I think you're going to get blocked by some of the sellers here for trying to return the card in this situation. Not trying to be ugly or combative, just straightforward.

Thank goodness ebay decided in the sellers favor otherwise this would be another example of the horror story you mention above.

You made a mistake, it happens to everyone, don't attempt to make the seller pay for your mistake.

Thank you guys for the input. I truly appreciate it. And yes I agree, Im probably just stuck...as it is my mistake. Ive got a perfect rating as both a seller and buyer on BO, eBay, IG, etc. Ive never had this happen. I went about the process of returning it w/ the seller in an honest way and that didn't work. I'm just going to eat the loss and move on. It's definitely not the end of the world and I will learn to triple check moving forward.

If a seller states they don't take returns and the buyer tries to return it just to return it the seller can deny the return. In this case there was nothing wrong and you tried to return it so the seller was allowed to refuse it. That is how it should be.

Seller was not to blame here at all.

i hope you only paid 1300(ish).

I realize it's a bit loss, but maybe resell ? Or try to resell at 1450 ?
