Default Are Stadium Club Rookies Up and Coming?

I think the answer is no, but damn, as far as aesthetics go, these have to be #1.

Playing devil's advocate, who ever saw Topps Flagship being competitive with or possibly dethroning Bowman when it comes to RCs?

Just looking for a conversation. Thanks in advance!

Aaron Judge's SC rookie is a winner as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think they're challenging flagship anytime soon, but the photography is definitely fantastic on these. I don't have many SC RCs in my Twins collection, but my favorite of the ones I do have is Garver-

I know these aren't RCs, but a couple other of my favorites that are too good not to share-

They're gorgeous.. I just wish they were action shots and the SP were pledge, taking a cut in the dug out, etc..

Hands down, Stadium Club has the best overall photography each year

Way undervalued. I think the serious collectors value Stadium Club. The quick flip guys only know flagship which is fine by me.

Stadium club is way underrated. I think the full bleed makes getting a 10 grade tough, which has the unfortunate consequence of diminishing the secondary market interest. Personally, I love the on card auto RCs in the set.

Stadium Club is my favorite set, plus it's in a sweet spot of being profitable enough for Topps to produce every year but unpopular enough that I've nearly completed a 2018 set from clearance bins at Meijer and Big Lots. I was hoping to do the same with 2019, but that probably isn't guaranteed.

Meanwhile, in basketball...

To be fair, baseball stadiums offer more varied shooting locations than basketball arenas, but is Panini even trying?

Stadium Club doesn't need to exist...and it hadn't for a number of years for good reason - it's not needed and is easily replaceable.

There's no reason for it when flagship has cool photos - and it often does.

Perhaps this is being discussed because Heritage is in decline or will soon be and Topps wants a sturdy tripod of products to rely upon?

Hobby doesn't need more products, it needs far fewer. Topps can make SC easily redundant at any time and as unnecessary as a product like Finest or Ginter or GQ.

I’ve always loved SC ever since I was young. The photography is amazing, the quality is great...they’re just really great looking cards. Unfortunately, I don’t ever see them surpassing flagship.

BTW... Bowman RCs aren’t very popular, are they??? They tend to be like 3rd place behind Topps Chrome and Heritage these days, and that is just the autograph cards... and non-autos are mostly ignored. I have large collections of these Bowman RC because they are cheap, but I like them

One thing to consider: does Stadium Club Update, being released this year, tip the scale? Others have suggested this was the only issue holding it back from becoming #2 behind flagship.

What would be the #2 it would be replacing?

I have recently gotten on the Stadium Club bandwagon and slowly trying to track down some of these great photos, several are tough to find. I have started a PSA showcase to track what those nice photos in one place.

This is as good as a card can get, IMO. Beautiful! This is my point - a card this nice should be far more desirable than any Topps Flagship, Update, Chrome or Bowman for that matter.

It's a must for player collectors, hoping it makes a run for a more mainstream audience!

I could not agree more. These three parallels are my favorite in the hobby, superfractor rarity notwithstanding.
