Default PSA Group Submissions

Does anybody have any recs on group PSA submissions? Looking to grade a few cards through a group submission. Thanks!

I wouldn't use anyone besides Josh (PCS). Especially since they added BGS back there is no reason to. He is the best in the business by far and its really not even close IMO. The level of communication before, during, and turnaround time is on a whole different level.

What are the advantages of submitting with PCS or another respected group versus submitting directly?

Turnaround time?

They tend to get bulk rates and you don't have to pay the inflated return shipping and insurance costs grading companies charge.

I hadn't considered shipping and insurance...Am I right that turnaround times are generally faster as well?

I second this. I have known Josh for a long time. As good as it comes.

Josh Cade is well known and only heard good things about him.

I send my own cards into to grade because I only want to blame myself if I don’t get the grade I want lol

What i've done in the past is buy multiple years/subscriptions of PSA Platinum membership. It used to be a better deal at $199 a few years ago before the price went up to $249. You get 15 submissions for that price. It equals out to about $16.50 per card.

I think i'm a member until like 2030 or something as I bought quite a few of them.

I also believe PSA grades these new membership orders faster than other economy orders.

They could i'm not sure. I haven't graded anything in awhile. One good thing and reason why I bought so many was because they advertised the price was going up so I wanted to lock in at the lower price before it increased. Once you have a PSA account you can log in and see how many submissions you have left and I don't think they ever expire. They're kind of like the forever stamps from the post office. That was kind of my thinking at the time anyways. When I log in my account it says member until 2030 and you have 55 submissions left or something like that.

Just remember PSA has maximum value levels each card can be worth. So if you're eyeing the $10 submission price the card can't have a value over $99. If you jump up to the next level it's $20 per card with maximum value up to $499 per card.

I use claycards. 11 bucks per card and he cleans them and evaluates if you should leave some out.

Maybe it’s the east coast in me, but I would NEVER let anyone touch my cards, let alone clean them?! Yikes, you guys are too trusting!

Let me replace, um, I mean clean your base cards for free! No problems there!!!

Oh shoot, my hands slipped and soda spilled on your cards, no worries, you’ll never know anyway! Just blame psa or BGS on how bad they graded your cards!

I clean/prep/sub my own cards!

guy seems solid. he regularly recommends i don't sub some of the cards i submit. he doesn't make any money off those cards since it is no charge for those.

I'm not submitting super high end cards. Biggest cards i've submitted were two zion prizm base and a couple of luka prizm base. i take pics of all my cards before submitting to him, so if i think there's any funny business with a swap i'd have some evidence. People regularly submit much higher value cards to him that are non-numbered.

Yeah, more power to ya (and others). Just because there is $$$ involved (and a 9 vs. 10 is a HUGE sale price difference), I'd rather be the one that submits the cards. Josh and others are great, but just personal preference on my part.
