Tell me about the new Rated Rookie Retro Cards!

I just started seeing these! What’s the scoop on them? I love the retro look!

Panini produced 1988 Donruss Retros last year under the "Panini Instant" umbrella. This year, they made the 1989 Donruss Retros and provided a pretty long window to order (maybe 10+ days). The sets were only available through the Panini website. 3,431 sets were ultimately purchased. There were 45 sets that were sold with a random 1/1. No other parallels appear to have been made. The quality of the Instant cards continues to be an issue (thin stock with touched up corners).
