Default How many cards do you own?

Just curious what size collection everyone has/keeps and how organized you keep it. Do you keep it set at a certain size and sell off everything above that or does it just continuously grow over time?

I own about 110 cards or so. They are all graded and organized by players last name.

5+ million and growing daily.

Boxes upon boxes that havent been sorted. At some point most if not all will be sorted by sport/year/brand/cardnumber and stored sleeved in 5000 ct monster boxes on shelves (boxes marked). Inventory hopefully up on say sportlots with the thoughts that this will eventually be additional retirement income if I ever need it.

About 91,000 now.

I'm trying to get all of mine organized in binders with relic and autographed cards in boxes. 1/1s and vintage are stored in a safe.

55k but that doesn't include the cards I plan on selling which is probably another 5-10k.

When you say sleeved, do you mean penny sleeve & top loader or just penny sleeve? I really thought about putting all the recent rookies in penny sleeve & top loader and after a few year decide if they still need to be in one.

Had maybe 50k but instituted a new rule: if it's not worth at least a toploader, it's not worth keeping. Now down to maybe 5k.

I've got about 170k but I like that rule. I'd have to amend it to complete sets plus anything worth a toploader...should still get me down under 75k though...

I think about 10k now. I've really cut back on keeping commons/vet base/paper.

Less and less each week, the garbage man's collection is increasing though!

Used to have around 25k or so, mostly Bowman and Bowman draft commons.

Before I moved across the country I was forced to purge all of those and now I have about three single row vault boxes full. So I'm guessing a couple thousand.

About 75K; would like to get rid of about 60K commons at some point, maybe offer them all on Craigslist for $100 or something.

About 100k. A lot of those complete sets. I can't bring myself to break up complete sets, or I would have a good amount less.

I have a problem.....

Through the years I have had my cards in a small safe box, under the bed, in the corner of a closet, in the basement and in a storage unit. Now I have an actual man cave that occupies the entire basement and when I brought them all together I was shocked at the amount of cards I have. I have many of the boxes sitting on 5 Home Depot wire shelves (48 in. W x 72 in. H x 18 in), each with 5 shelves. This is not an exaggeration, my estimate after literally counting only the super shoe boxes (3000 cards per box) and estimating the additional boxes, I would say I have about 325 super shoe boxes full of cards so an estimated 1,000,000+ cards. Since I have put these cards all in one place I have been slowly working on getting that number down and have sold off about 5 super shoe boxes full of cards.
