eBay "Time: Newly Listed" search glitch?

When I am searching eBay I like to search by newly listed items first so I don't have to scroll through a bunch of stuff I have already seen. The last two or three days when I have been doing this I have noticed that items are listed in all kinds of order even tough I click the newly listed first. This morning I have items listed on 7/30, 7/29 and even before mixed in and listed before items listed today. Even the times for the same days are out of order in spots. There seems to be very little order to the listings and I have to scroll through a bunch of items listed over the last several days just to make sure I don't miss something new. And I am not talking about the sponsored items, I know those are always there. It's not a huge issue just very annoying. I tried chatting with someone from eBay last night about it, but the person seemed to have no clue what I was talking about and basically just said that's the way it is. It was never like that before. Anyway, sorry for the long post, but has anyone else noticed this issue?
