September time is time to do my final contest!
CONTEST IS OVER! Results are posted in post #22.
Life has gotten the better of me over the last couple months, and I did not do an August game. For that I am sorry. I have recently came to the conclusion that I just do not enjoy baseball as much as I used to. The drama in the league, the angst going into this season, Rob Manfred, questions on whether there will be a 2021 season, Astros scandal, juiced balls, and so many other things have just ended the joy for me sadly. With that being said, the NBA has recaptured memories of my youth and the bubble has brought me back into loving basketball! So, I am leaving the baseball hobby and entering into the basketball hobby! I have already sold off almost everything I have to fund my sons Drivers Ed, license and HUGE insurance bill, but I have a little left that I am going to try and turn into some of the basketball guys I am after. I did enjoy the last almost ten years here on the baseball side, and have met a lot of really good people. I hope to still see a lot of you over in basketball and football, but do t think I will be participating much over here. Thank you all for giving me a good few years, I will leave with a lot of fond memories, and unfortunately some memories of bird cards too! All of that said, if you have stuck with me until now, here is the contest! First, the prize: - I am going to try and sell/trade all the baseball I have left to turn it into the start of a basketball collection. I am going to give myself until October 10, 2020 at 0800 EST. Any baseball I have left at that point is the prize! It may be nothing but a bunch of base cards, or there could be autos left, relics, rookies etc. you never know what will be left! It will all be yours though, free, you don’t even pay the shipping! - I am keeping my Joe Mauer collection though, and will still periodically work on that, so there will not be any in the box unless they are doubles. - I am keeping a couple rookies as well. The contest: All I want is for you to name the following about me. Let’s see if anyone knows me that well! The first person to get all them right wins, and I will ship everything out to after the 10th of October. If no one guesses them all right, then whomever has the most right will win all the cards! If there are multiple people with the same amount of guesses right, then I will random everyone’s name who had that many right three times and whoever’s name is on top will win. 1) NO EDITING GUESSES. If you edit your guess you are disqualified. 2) only one guess per person, so make smart guesses! 3) I will open this up to anyone who has been a member since at least June 2020. 4) You must have at least 1 iTrader and be 100% positive. The only exception is if you and I have done a deal since you received a negative, then you are good to play. 5) Guesses must be marked in September. So if you hit submit at 0000 on October 1, your guess will not count. Enjoy man......good luck with your new hobby venture! Gonna cost you double thats for sure but im sure it will be more enjoyable thats for sure.
