Default PSA Grading Service Selection with No More Economy

Value ($15) = approx. 7-8 months
vs
Regular ($50) = approx. 30 days
vs
Express ($75) = approx. 15 days

Given the above cost and time averages, at what value do you select what service?

Here is what I will be doing moving forward:

Value - prospecting and off season sport (non grade value $10-$100)

Regular - Current sport mid-value cards (non grade value $100-$500)

Express - Hot Player and High Value card (non grade value $100-$2000)

Does the regular actual take 30 days?
i just sent a few cards for express. If regular takes 30 days i could live with that level.

Not even close. My last order took 2 and a 1/2 months from received date to completion. Currently have a bunch more that will more than likely be going over 3 months.

Really...there aren’t a ton of regular level orders in the tracker thread, but the last 3-4 I could find went from received per usps to shipped in 30 days or less. I have one with them now, we’ll see how it goes. It was delivered to them on 9/25, and went into research on 10/8.

I’m definitely missing economy right now, especially since I can’t get a plat membership to submit at bulk. Can’t decide if I should just buy the silver and submit bulk or go through a group sub and submit economy.

Yeah there will definitely be some that pop in that range. That’s the biggest problem with psa. They aren’t grading based on received date. There is no rhyme or reason to what cards get graded. Go to pcsportscards.com. It’ll show exact dates and what step they are in for every submission. Some are in schedule but most aren’t even close.

Yeah i have subs with them as well. I used to do my bulks through them and everything else directly. Not a huge fan of the changes with gold/plat memberships suspended along with economy.

For $50/card I will be upset if it takes 2.5-3 months for regular. Not that psa cares!

Yeah I agree. If I didn’t sub through josh, I wouldn’t be sending in my cards. $50 is ridiculous.

Been doing a marathon session of prepping a 100 card submission for the two TPG's

75 candidates for PSA

83 solid 9.5 candidates for BGS that just missed the PSA cut and still have value.

Got a top ten PC that I moved into a lockbox for future and quicker consideration.

Come Monday they will be headed out...

Just want them gone and into the system in hopes of June/July 2021 return.

Then it will be an avalanche of .99 cent auctions to clean out the $1 to $10 hoard.

"We are rounding that corner..."
