Default 2020-21 Prizm Draft Picks - Who to chase...if anyone?

With Prizm Draft coming out very soon, who is the actual player(s) to chase in this? WEAK draft class compared to past, so.....who you going after?

Prizm draft is a terrible product. It immediately loses value when the NBA stuff comes out. Don't waste your money.

I mean, if you're looking to invest it's a waste. If you want to pickup some cool stuff from your favorite player to collect then it's fine.

Yep, the only money you'd make off this is withing the first 2 weeks it's released. Then the value sinks like the Titanic (unless it's a once in a decade type player....and we know no one in this class is that type )

This year there should be more time to capitalize on the value of Prizm Draft because NBA Prizm won’t be releasing for months. The window was much tighter for 2019-20. I don’t know if anyone is paying attention to Contenders Draft, but some autos of the top guys are selling very well, and I would expect Prizm to do just as well in most cases.

LOL, I already called it a weak class. It's a light swing.

6 Months from now, which RC will be maintain their value the best? Avdija, Wiseman, Edwards, Ball, Toppin, or someone else?

Wait until after the draft, then it will be more clear. I'm guessing whoever has the best opportunity to get the ball a lot will sustain value throughout this year. Even if you're not a great player having more opportunities than the other rookies will inevitably lead to a pop after a good game when you could cash in

The question is, will Prizm Draft picks be good now because there's nothing NBA releasing until next year?

I would pick up the colors and # cards of the top players and grade them to get any extra value on these. Wiseman, Ball, Edwards, Toppin. But trying to make money on the base will be tough.

Last year you could (can) make money on any of the Jas and Zion. Even Coby, Tyler there was money on the color parallels and #s.

This product is good to flip, thats about it.

After reading this thread and deciding to take the advice to avoid it... one of these guys will win 3 MVP's and 4 Championships inside 8 years.

It will be very interesting to watch the sealed wax market for 20-21. Everything 19-20 (even Prizm Draft) is high because of the Zion/Ja effect, but I can’t imagine the same thing happening to the upcoming products so quickly unless someone from this class has a much better than expected rookie campaign. Yes I know that “wax always wins” or whatever people like to repeat ad nauseam, but I doubt the prices get that high that quickly, especially now that more and more of the masses are seeing wax as an investment. Not many people were holding sealed product just a year or two ago, and now almost everyone is doing it.

Forget about the players themselves, when does the economy come into play.

Or will a big stimulus next year mean another huge pump?

People see Prizm, Ja and Zion and their brain melts and their wallet opens.

Crazy times.
