Move your sales to the multiple other options. IG, Twitter, FB, Myslabs, COMC, etc. But Managed Payments is here to stay. It just is what it is, unfortunately. Its been pretty smooth and consistent for me. But Im doing most of my sales these days on IG.

Fees out automatically, better system when issues instead of having to defend on eBay and PayPal, many great things.

Payment shows as pending on your account once it is paid for.

PayPal used to front money but is going to holds back end of 2021, so the system would have changed for you there.

OP - my biggest gripe is payout scheme since you can’t buy out of your sales account like you could with PayPal immediately. However, it is smoother, no more fees at the end of the month (taken out as you go) and shipping can be deducted from your eBay account balance too... I just learned that I have to potentially wait a week to have my money deposited, now that I’ve been on managed payments for a month it’s been fine with less headaches... and as someone else said if there’s a claim they can only go through eBay which has a 90 day window to file claims.

Managed payments have been great. I still question why people are so desperate to have their money in the bank immediately. Are you paying the rent with baseball card money?

I don't want it in the bank at all, I want it in my play money wallet (Paypal).

For me personally it was to keep my hobby purchases separated from my household finances, having all sales deposited into PayPal I could spend freely from that account as it was financed 100% from hobby sales and know it’s not effecting the household budget. Now the funds are co-mingling and I have an idea what is hobby $$$ and what is for the budget, but it’s not separated like it used to be, I’ll probably open up another checking account so it’s all separated.

Open a separate checking account for Managed Payments that is your play money wallet. Problem solved.

Just got the notice that I will be moved over to MP soon. Will definitely be looking to threads like this for ideas like opening a separate checking account for card related stuff which I will most likely do.

It may stop pre-sellers from using "preselling money" to pay for products they don't have and 12% less when it actually gets in your back!
Make them use their own money first!!!!

A very important thing a lot of you are missing is that Paypal provides the perfect way to hide the stupid amounts of money we are transacting from our wives!!!

I switched over a year ago and love it. Started a separate checking account for card money. Payouts daily. With my bank, eBay pays out today, it hits my account tomorrow. I know some others are waiting longer. If I remember, when I first started it did take 3-4 days to show up, but now it is next day.

This is exactly what I did. Paypal account is empty and dormant, new checking account has a few thousand bucks in it from card sales. Got a debit card to use with it, and all managed payments show up there 2-3 days after payment received.

It was nice to have instant payments, but that is no more through eBay.

So the delay in payments, how does that affect shipping?

Just open a separate bank account if you need to 'hide' the money.....plus you may even get some extra perks for opening up a new account.

Lol, my wife would freak if she saw me spend $1000 on a few boxes when in actuality I sold cards not in my PC to fund the $1000 purchase, wives ignore the $1000 deposits and just see the $1000 deductions. PayPal was great for that.

I had to open a new free checking account because it's NEVER, NEVER good to mix your "real" money, with your card-money.

Just one extra step, but it's not so bad!
