The Official Carmelo Anthony fans/collectors THREAD

Last season we used the Carmelo/Portland Trailblazers thread for Melo game talk and such. Figured I’d start an official thread to use going forward.. there’s enough of us who collect him and he’s a future hall of famer! If 2nd round draft picks who play 5 minutes per game can get their own thread, then Melo certainly deserves his own

Use this for Melo discussion, game talk, card showoffs, etc.. I’ll post some of mine in a bit!

Also... where do we want Melo to sign this season? Looks like the Blazers are going in a different direction after their recent acquisitions. Hearing rumors of a Knicks reunion.. not sure how to feel about this.

Personally wouldn't mind him re-signing with the Blazers on a team with added depth over the offseason. He's clearly shown that he still has some gas in the tank, but I don't believe that he should head to the Knicks when he can be a contributor on a playoff team pursuing a championship.

Just feels to me his spot in Portland has been filled with their recent moves. He shouldn’t have to take a lesser role. But I also don’t want him to team up with Lebron or the clippers.

My ideal landing spot for Melo right now would be Miami, or maybe Brooklyn.

Will be interesting to see what happens tho.. I’m gonna root for whoever he ends up with regardless.

I'm with you. It should be Miami and Brooklyn.
In miami he would probably have a tough first month with the conditioning test and body fat. Once he pass that, he could fill nicely.
Brooklyn is all about nash/da'antoni system.

I don't think Melo wants any part to do with Da'Antoni. I am sure he was the one reason he left Houston. I just would like to see Melo get a chance on getting a Championship added to his Hof career. Just saying.

Working on my Carmelo stash, here are some of my highlights. The first two base were BGS 9.5 crossovers, the refractor and Xfractor were raw purchases I subbed recently from the same seller and the BGS Xfractor is a triple 9.5/10 I subbed for crossover and waiting for results.

Good idea!

It would be nice to pick up some 03-04 boxes to hunt for Melo rookies but that's pretty much out of the question thanks to that other guy
