Retail or Hobby WNBA Prizm?

Starting to expand my collection to the ladies. Looking to start a Sabally PC. Seems to be a lot of awful centering. Is the terrible centering isolated to one format? I see the problems with Fanatics Blasters are as bad as the men’s version. Any advice?

Also if anyone is moving Satou, or are looking for certain players let me know, I’m going to be opening a couple cases.

Yeah, it is the same across the board. Might jump in the WNBA prizm thread here too. I'm sure a lot of people would love to see the results of your rips.

For me, I'm looking for Skylar Diggins and Jackie Young.

From what I've seen, the centering/surface issues seem to be on a case by case basis. Some of the breaks I've been in have had near perfect cards in them. I'm always a hobby>retail guy but the green pulsar /25s have been selling pretty well (albeit infrequently)

I'm looking for Candace Parker, Diamond DeShields, Shekinna Stricklen, Mercedes Russell, Glory Johnson, and Isabelle Harrison. I've got some nice Satou currently that I'd be willing to trade for low #ed parallels of those players.

Hobby is loaded with color.

Retail and Fanatics are Greens, Silvers, Green Pulsars(blasters) and Green Ice(Fanatics)... No other colors.

I've noticed most colors have better centering.

I bought 6 blasters and got 3 of the green pulsars out of them. They were a fun rip for cheap

Yeah, I was able to just find one blaster of this on Tuesday, got an A'Ja Wilson Green Prizm Auto. Not bad for a blaster! These never hit Target right? It's only been WM from what I've seen

Nice! Definitely post any of your big hits. I've also found that hobby color tends to have the best centering. My recent PSA sub is still pending - I probably sent in too many WNBA cards/autos, but I wanted to hedge my bet.

I opened a blaster last night and every single card was off center. Literally not a single card that could gem. They were all miscut approx 60/40, heavy on the left, so that seemed more than coincidental.

they haven't been gemming any 60/40s this year. from what I've seen it needs to be 55/45 or better

Not anymore. Rare to get a 60/40 card to gem despite the published standards not changing. I’ve had cards that were absolutely mint other than 55/45 centering come back 9’s lately.

The hobby boxes are great breaks overall; #/25 & golds are more frequent than NBA Prizm.

I broke 1 hobby and have 2 more hobby and 8 blasters incoming, I’ll post a full recap when I’m done. I did pull a Shekinna Mojo though! She is one of the funnest players to watch! I’ll post a pic when I get back tomorrow
