Anyone ever order anything online from GameStop?

I ordered several items and its extremely important I get them before Christmas. I paid extra for quick shipping and the order was supposed to be here yesterday and to be signed for.

After seeing all the shipping delays today and not getting the package delivered yet (which I have to sign for) I checked tracking and it says it hasn't even been shipped yet. Is that normal for gamestop?

Gamestop may have been one of the retailers that UPS and Fed Ex kicked to the curb forcing them to have to completely change their shipping policies

That’s not good. I thought when I made the purchase it was coming UPS but i could be mistaken because the tracking is USPS. I guess I’ll try tracking down a phone number and calling them tomorrow. Might have to reorder express mail from another source.

I've had orders do that recently. Just got one in from WWE that didn't get a scan until it hit my local sort facility. Looked exactly like yours for 4-5 days.

One thing I live by and tell my customers when asked, is: Never, ever bank on the post office getting your item to you by 'x' date, no matter what time of year it is.

My best friend is a store manager at Gamestop..... She said that their shipping is a mess since they were switched from UPS to FedEx and USPS. I would definitely call to check the order and try to find a different source if possible. If this tells you anything, she has worked for them for 14 years and has a job interview today because she said it has gotten so bad and she knows people won't get their stuff by Christmas.

I tried giving them a call but their automated message says if it hasn't been 5 business days basically to kick rocks. I placed the order on the 10th so I am out of luck, The longer I wait though the more time I waste.

It is paramount I get these items. I recently found out that a family hit some really, really hard times and 3 children 4, 9, 11 won't be getting a Christmas. I was able to get their Christmas lists and most of the 9 (especially) and some of the 11 year old gifts were gaming related.

The 4 year old I have taken care of and was able to buy her stuff all locally. But the bulk of the 9 and 11 year olds presents are tied into the GameStop order since I bundled (no pun intended) their list and got them a PS VR IronMan Bundle with a couple other games.

I just looked on the Playstation site and it says if I order one by tomorrow with rush shipping it can still get here by Christmas. If I don't like what I hear from GameStop tomorrow (assuming they take my call) how are they with returns because I am not risking the kids not getting those gifts. It just can't happen.

They will do the return as long as nothing is open and you hold onto whatever receipt you have. I worked for them for about 8 years myself. Call the closest store to you and see if they can help you, that would be my best suggestion. I don't know a lot about their newest system, but I know a lot of the stuff comes direct from the stores. Never had an issue with returns at gamestop. Like the other poster said, if you just take everything in and bring the receipt in the shipped package with you it should be pretty easily returned.

The situation sounds tough, best of luck with it!

I would not bet on that. Many of the carriers are saying this but reality is it may not be possible for any of them.

Well I called them and just got strung along automated messaging. Essentially it says if its still saying Waiting for Carrier pick up it means just that. The package hasn't even been picked up yet for delivery. Its been a week. If I have to order the damn thing from 3 other places just to get one here on time thats what I'll do. I don't care at this point.

Playstation Direct guaranteed delivery by Christmas for upgraded shipping and it would appear they use Fed Ex or UPS. I was also able to order the other gifts from Amazon were I have been getting all of those orders within 2-3 days. So fingers crossed. Really hoping I don't have to take a road trip just before Christmas Eve. Fingers crossed.

No it doesn't. Here's a tracking number, feel free to check for yourself. This is from WWE (typically ships from Ohio) to me in Arlington, Texas. It did not get shipped and delivered in the same day, and WWE does not ship from Fort Worth Texas.

So it could show up any day. Just depends on when USPS gets around to it.

Looks like you're trying to do something good, and I wish you luck with it. At this point though, probably easier to just drive to a Gamestop (or elsewhere) and pick up the item in person, rather than bank on any of the delivery services actually coming though. Whatever you decide though, good luck!

That is not true, it just means the item is not scanned in their system yet, does not mean they do not have it yet. With these retailers being forced to ship USPS they are dumping hundred maybe thousands of packages into the USPS system at the same time it is very possible it just never got scanned but is sitting on a truck waiting to be processed.

It has been reported many large processing centers have as many as 200 semi trailers of mail that has been sitting for over a week now.

When you call the number and follow the automated prompts it reads word for word what my tracking says and specially stated it hasn't been picked up yet. So it must be pretty widespread with gamestop online orders.

Regardless it doesn't matter. I am very relieved to say the VR Bundle and one of the games are scheduled to be delivered today after ordering it just yesterday afternoon (had to get the others from Amazon). Its currently a little over an hour from me. The site said if I ordered by 2 PM yesterday it would be here by the 25th. They weren't kidding.

I also just got a text just before typing this that a local church and a couple others have donated some grocery store gift cards for the family as well.

It can happens with all packages. Like many of mine also say "Item departed Shreveport" This means it is likely buried in a truck parked outside the Dallas processing center. If I don't get a scan when I ship I have had many packages not get any scan until they reach their final destinations some only on delivery.

These companies are likely shipping 1000s of packages a day most are likely being put on the truck without ever getting a scan. The only real scan that is required with USPS tracking is the Delivery scan. Its can be used as tracking but its not really tracking in many cases.

I sort of live in no man's land where you have to drive an hour to get to anything. I checked the closest two Game Stops each located about an hour from me in separate directions and neither had any of what I ordered.

My final plan was to drive to Buffalo or Rochester (two hours from me), but I was avoiding it because after the first snow storm I realized I REALLY need new tires on my truck and now I can't afford them. First time having to buy truck tires, ouch. It looks like its going to work out though.
