Default Anyone on Alt (onlyalt.com) yet? Card Portfolio Management / Insurance / Trading

Came across this today. Haven’t seen it mentioned here yet.
They’re starting with cards, and broadening out to other asset classes.
(If I picked it up correctly, they’ve raised $30m in funding.)
www.onlyalt.com
We’ve seen parts of this before - PWCC’s Vault for storage and trading, Slabstock etc for valuation, but all together?
(I’be no connection with the site. I put myself on the waitlist, just to check it out.)

Missed a result in the search. It was referenced here, but no further info.

Let me know if you guys have other alternatives...it would be nicer than using excel and inputting your own data.

I just don't think this is any different from anything else that's already out there. Plus I don't think it's really going to be useful for anything that is rare / hard to find.

If you want to track how much your $100 stack of Guy and Giles Bass cards are worth then sure but guys with real money into collections have rare stuff that you can't just use eBay comps to track value for.

With super rare high end stuff it's more about what someone is willing to pay rather than "fair market" value

What is an 'alt value'?

Agree with above poster.

I am sure this is just like all the others. Only have the higher profile cards built in and the rest of your collection will never be tracked. From the onset it looks to be a little different with the the other options they give you, but I will never be able to track my Miles Bridges graded collection in there.

I wish someone had just taken the time to include every single card, at least dating back to 2010 at the very least. I realize the undertaking would be massive, but then at least it would be complete and different from all other tracking sites. To me, these always seems half-assed with such a low percentage of data.

So they will add cards that we request, i was able to add a lot of soccer/football cards which nobody knows. It might take 1 or 2 days but they always add. This was one of the reason i moved out from card ladder as they only added popular cards. Also its a free platform as of now. I consider it as platform where i can track my cards in a better way than my old excel sheets. As an added benefit i can visualy see how the cards appreciated over a year.

Isn’t that the same guy that pulled the Kobe card scam with the guy from Asia and PSA?

If it is I hope karma comes back and his product fails miserably. What a slime ball!

Edit- I missed small towns post! Lol what a thread! The FBI may raid my house if I send the cards back! (Sarcasm)

I received an invite to test the product from a BO member. Just took it for a test drive this morning - it's exactly as Raj3esh says. Super impressed and really look forward to using the interface.

Hey guys- I'm one of the first employees at Alt and am glad that some of you are finding it useful. For any of you who would like to skip the waitlist and test the site, feel free to shoot me a PM! We are still in the early phases so I will emphasize this is not close to a finished product, but we'd love to get as much feedback as possible.

I'm confused people are mentioning it is a product but looks more like a service when I took a peek. Is it a product or service?

Run by a scammer. Wish that got an article in the press.

Since he owns a bunch of nice shiny cards, it will continue to get brushed aside.

I was wondering whose cards they were using for the sample image on the site... (ie whether it was a real portfolio or a collection of images from around the web)

Some of those are Leore's. The rest are probably the company's.

Wow that is quite some thread. I'm only half way through and my head's spinning.

He's the same guy who outed the big buyer of the Luka logoman (or other insanely high valued $3m card) without permission.

Any chance of getting an official explanation as to what happened in the other thread. It will be an immediate turn-off for most collectors if he indeed is scamming people out of cards. How could we trust his company with the cards we would send in... Love to hear his side of the story, or an effort to make it right.
