Nice debut!
Wanted him for the Hawks to partner with Trae...

Yes! Can't wait to pick up his cards. Haven't been this excited about a kings rookie since Fox. My goal is to pick up one card I like from each release this season. Hopefully Panini doesn't make that an awful experience.

He played great last night. And was out there taking the final shot of regulation. He won't fill up a stat sheet but the guy is just good at basketball and helps a team.

Zach Lowe says all the smart basketball guys rave about him, and that Zach will absolutely love him.
And alas, it seems my Trae x Tyrese fantasy was never meant to be...

I don't think he'll be a star (I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again) but he plays like a veteran. I think he'll be solid for Sacramento for a long time. When I saw Okoro get taken by the Cavs I figured the Hawks would either take Haliburton or Onyeka who was getting a lot of hype for being Bam like

I had no idea about this. Is there any more information public about why and how this came to be? Obviously happy he wanted to be in Sacramento, just confused As to why haha

He looks really solid so far. I wasn't too high on him heading into the season, but he has a nice polish to his game.

I really thought the Spurs were going to take him at 11 but after seeing that story...they couldn't afford another "I want to be somewhere else" situation

I used to live in Sacramento, so I have a soft spot for the Kings. Watched the entire Nuggets and Kings game yesterday. The Nuggets body language (especially Jokic) was so depressed and always throwing their hands in the air, reacting to their own teammates miscues. The Kings had a different energy. Especially Haliburton. I wish he was a Hawk, but glad he landed in Sacramento. First team NBA rookie team!

As a kings fan I'm thrilled to have an incredible player who wants and loves to play for the Kings. He really does play with a presence beyond his years and I would be shocked if he isn't in the roy convo if he keeps this up.

I'm a little put off by him forcing his way to Sac though, if true. According to what I've read in the Sac Bee, he wasn't involved in anything and he claims not to know what his agent did behind the scenes. Not sure I buy that though.

Can't wait until prizm stuff drops. I will be buying a lot of Hali for sure. I'm guessing he's going to be wildly undervalued this season cause he's not super flashy but he's a fantastic player.

Year 2, year 3 watch out for this guy. I see him having a Shai-like trajectory

I like him for the fact he is from Wisconsin and the town I went to college (see first part of my username). Not many Wisconsin-born NBA players

Steph Curry told the teams ahead of the Knicks not to draft him because he wouldn't sign how did that turn out ...

This guy was definitely a favorite among the NBA draft twitter accounts I follow.
Had no idea about how he dropped to the Kings.

"Dick Cheney" was actually trending on Twitter the other night during Hali's big game

He’s the cousin of Eddie Jones, so I’m in on him!

I'm excited the Kings landed this kid! He's got a mature game, and plays a winning brand of basketball from what I've seen so far.

Absolutely love his game but I have a feeling he'll never get the hobby love to match how good he is. I think he's a guy in the mold of CP3...incredible high AST/TO ratio passer, efficient but not explosive scorer, and great defender. Those guys are perfect modern NBA players but the hobby seems to always fawn over the flashier pure scorers instead. I guess we'll see.

I keep flashing back to the 2009-10 season when Evans and Curry went 1-2 in ROY voting. Could see that again with Tyrese and Wiseman.
